Wow! We get three episodes of Supergirl to start. Nice. This show has some nice easter eggs. Let's see if you notice them. :D

Good eye that was Los Angeles. The first season of Supergirl was on CBS and was filmed in their studios in Los Angeles. It really gives it a different look than other Arrowverse shows which are filmed in Vancouver.

You could say that Superman couldn't stop him because he just didn't know how. Kara got a lot of help from a lot of smart people in figuring out how to track him, who he was, and how to stop him, while Clark always works alone. Also, I think the point of this episode is to put a barrier between Superman and Supergirl. He jokingly tells her that he won't ever save her life again, so it stops that question viewers may have of why don't they just call Superman when things get tough for Kara. It's a bit contrived to get to that point, but it works, I guess.

Heh. Only 3 into it. Indeed, the writers throw in somethings that don't make sense. And the on-screen chemistry doesn't always match the story arc. But some aspects are really great...

Sure. And Superman has a mental blind spot when the solution is lead - because it is a physical blind spot for him??? OTOH, cover the science doodad in lead sounds like an 8 page story from the 40s.

Great reaction. not the best eps out of the three, I think I still like the pilot eps from these 3 eps.

Kara and Alex's sisterhood is my 2nd favorite relationship in the arrowverse. Any scene that involves the two of them just talking is always good.

Here you can see perfectly my biggest problem with the series. Anything you can do I can do better. You are so much faster than Superman and stronger and cleverer and so on. These comparisons are completely superfluous.

I don't know if you remember but Lucy Lane was on Smallville a couple times and she was actually played there by Peyton List who Lisa Snart AKA Golden Glider on the Flash

3 episodes in and I DO NOT ship Jimmy / Kara. I also totally agree with you about the villain not seeming powerful enough to have caused any problems for Superman. I think, if they wanted to tell this type of story this early and have it be someone who Superman "couldn't" defeat, they should have used someone who always had a trick up his sleeve so that he always got a way, and Kara could defeat him either by relying on some help from her friends, or just out smarting him.

That being said, I agree with a lot of what you said too. The sister relationship is probably the best part of the show. Also, the scene in the coffee shop at the beginning "I'm an alien" got me good. That was funny.
