I've been trying not to comment much because I just found you and I'm just getting started on some of your very old reactions but I couldn't help myself. In this episode, you mention how there's a lot of green in this show and it's for a reason. This is very literally what Oregon looks like. It's extremely green, a ton of plant-life. Personally, I think it's absolutely beautiful, but it's definitely a lot of greenery.

Love the Grimm reactions. Agree with the issues your seeing as well though. Season 1 is still very much 'monster of the week' and whilst they do follow through on some more over arching character stuff it does feel a bit disjointed. First seasons of most shows always feel a bit rough to me though.

Actually, finding the poison wasn't convenient. When he looked up the ogre in the book it had a picture of it, but he couldn't read the passage in the book because it wasn't in English. But seeing a drawing of the bottle in the book, he then looked for it on the counter.

I love that your doing these. We're still not to the part yet where I originally came into the series, so I'm seeing all of these episodes from the first half of season 1 for the first time, myself. I promise the show does get better as it goes along. And yeah, Monroe is great. Very likeable character.

I realize I am coming in a bit late an chances are Shan never sees this, but I thought I'd say that there are in fact people who never cut their hair. I knew a couple of sisters like that in college. The think is, you hair has a built in limit to how long it can grown. You individual hair follicles switch between growing and resting phases and when one enters its resting phase, the hair falls out. However long your hair can get between resting stages is the longest it can ever get. In the case of the sisters I knew in college, it was below waste level, but never got any longer than that.
