Amazing how fast you picked up on the reversal of instead of three little pigs and big bad wolf, it was three wolves and big bad pig. I don't know why but Hap was my favorite one-off character of season one. Also loved that he had a "Shake-Weight" at beginning, and it saved his life, hilarious.

It’s amazing how intuitive you are. You immediately picked out how this episode was going to do a reversal and tell a story of the 3 wolve and the big bad pig. Even to the point of “blowing their houses down”. Well done Shan. The episode also has my favorite one-off character of season 1, Hap. He cracks me up, especially when he gets saved by his Shake-Weight … hilarious. Also get a glimpse into Monroe wild past. It kind of makes me think of Giles, a quiet nerdy intellectual with a wild dangerous younger self.

huh I never thought about Monroe as Giles, I suppose it makes sense, especially if you consider Grimm (with its former Buffy and Angel creative team) as the successor to the whedonverse ;)

Especially when you consider Monroe (like Giles) is the "chosen ones" source of knowledge into the new dark underworld he must now battle.
