I think you got it right on the 1st guess. Without Coulson in SHIELD, there's no Avengers and Fury dies in the mid-90s, which means nothing stopped Hydra. Captain Marvel made this episode a little better.

A fantastic episode and one of the greats. I'm glad you loved it too. People hype it up, but then you watch it and still blows you away. that's the mark of greatness.

episode 1 x 17 was the turn, turn, turn. episode 2 x 17 was "melinda" in Bahrain, Skye found out about her mom, and rana the clairvoyant. Going to try to find the link where AOS was at paleyfest their first season which was right before episode 16 aired , and someone asked Brett Dalton if they feel his character would develop or something to that effect. This right before episode 16 aired, which the audience saw, and they were discussing before the audience would see episode 17

I think your first guess was right. Without Coulson, there's no Avengers and Fury dies in the mid-90s, so there's nothing to stop Hydra. Captain Marvel made this episode better.

Easily one of the best episodes ever. And that hugging scene between Daisy and Jemma is one of the best scenes of the entire series.

Yeah your reaction was worth waiting for. I think I said WTF at least 20 times during this episode. I call it the most absolute perfect episode of Shield. I wouldn't change anything about it. It is 100% on point. Yeah I'd like a Daisybot too. LOL. Oh and no that's not Lincoln. The Daisy Vs the LMD fight, Maybot protecting her team showing how 'human' she really was, the Fitzbot and Jemma fight, Daisy/Jemma hug, and those end scenes of where everyone was. Poor Mack has his kid, Daisy is with Ward, and Jemma is dead. Fitz is a bigwig, Coulson is a teacher who is afraid of inhumans, and May is Hydra. Here we go to the best arc of the season - not saying the other arcs were not good- just this one was so good.

People have already hyped it, you saw it, you loved it. All I will say is...the music score that plays during LMD Mays sacrifice is so beautiful and really makes me emotional, together with what May says to Coulson about how human she really is. Also, this was Jed Whedons first time directing and I think he did a fantastic job.....the fight choreo, the hangar doors opening and the snow falling in.....just TV perfection. And yes this episode I think was MADE to make you feel anxious and paranoid AF all throughout.

Jed Whedon wrote and directed this episode. It was his directorial debut, Marvel needs to give him an MCU movie, I think he'd do fantastic.

Jemma in this was amazing, this is one of the best eps in season 4

Yeah, I forgot how good this ep was. Revisiting it along with your reaction was awesome! Of course you finished the season already, because why would anyone not want to? LOL. Just imagine having to wait a week or more in between eps, when it aired.

This arc that properly starts with ep16 is an example of a concept from the comics that explores scenarios of what could have happen if characters did things differently from what actually happened. so, is a What If...? story. Agents did it first. You the'ii do a animated series for Disney+ What If..
