The Tick S1 was split into two halves, with episode 6 serving as the mid-season finale. This is when everything starts to come into focus. The characters have been introduced, set on their path and the plot begins to unfold. We have heroes...we have villains...DESTINY demands you watch episodes 7&8!

Started reading "The Tick" back in the '80's with its initial NEC (New England Comics) run. Edlund's style always reminded me of Steve Gerber and his take on the original "Howard the Duck" books. Absolutely loved the animated series, but never watched the live action versions. Didn't think it could be done, but I have to say that with these two episodes, I'm starting to come around.

This series is the first time The Tick has a story with character development and a series storyline. It takes a few episodes to see that's what's happening. And this version of Dot is not boring. Super fun. I agree that Edlund and Gerber have similar humor (one created Hellcow, the other Man-Eating Cow - very different characters, very similar ridiculous humor).
