There's actually a 4-part miniseries of webisodes that actually focuses on what kol's plan to make a dagger that affects Klaus in 1914 if you ever wanna check it out. Personally though, I don't really see the point of making one now since they've shown that Papa Tunde's blade does a similar but worse effect

Well, Papa Tunde's blade is worse in that it causes unbearable agonizing pain, but the person remains conscious and, if the vampire with that blade in them has enough strength of will, they can reach in and pull it out, freeing themselves. An original who has been daggered is unconscious, effectively dead until the dagger is removed, so they can't free themselves.
