Henry wasn't a hunter... The hunter funeral would not have been Henry's choice. At least thats hiw I see it.

Everytime I kept seeing the aquarius star that keeps popping up this episode, I keep going back to the seal of orichalcos from yu-gi-oh. Also, you might recognize the actress who played abbadon as the smallville version of black canary

keep in mind this is not canon so be prepared for some retcon especially when F***ING Andrew Dabb starts solo writing

Yeah, they buried him in the same graveyard from earlier, which was a Men of Letters cemetery. The fact that they respected his unsaid wishes says so much of our boys :)

I'm sorry, did I forget that this was fanfiction instead of actual televised stuff? This is 100% canon, just because you don't consider it that in your own head, does not change the facts, sorry.

One of my favorite BTS fun facts is that, in the scene where Henry has run off and Sam wakes up Dean, Jensen had actually fallen asleep, so that reaction is totally real. So funny :D

"2013....I guess the Mayans were wrong." LMAO

Nancy Nicolai

And Andrew Dabb may have been the "head writer" or " showrunner" but there are a room full of writers that write not just this show but every show and nothing is cannon until its written so like in life things change all the time!✌

Yeah, I love this episode. It's one of the highlights of season 8. Fun fact, the name Abaddon comes from Revelation and is a Hebrew word meaning "Destruction." In Revelation Abaddon is the king of an army of demonic locusts (probably just symbols of demonic entities) that plague humanity for a short time. He's also called "the angel of the abyss."

Good question about Lilith and the Knights of Hell! I haven't heard or seen any specific answer to this question. I don't know if anyone has asked it before or not. Probably has come up. My take on it is that Lilith was the first demon created by Lucifer. The knights of Hell came later. The old guy wasn't really 127 years old. He took the identity of the soldier that was buried in his grave - that guy was 127. I know why Dean wanted to stop his grandfather from going back to his time, but I wish he'd let him anyway. But the angels likely would have manipulated that anyway, because, just the act of him going back in time before the attack by Abaddon, he wouldn't make another trip forward in time, and Abaddon wouldn't be where Sam and Dean are, and wouldn't have taken Sam. So Sam would be safe. None of that would have happened. John would have his dad. Maybe. Likely something else would have happened to have John meet Mary and have Sam and Dean. But the details would be different. This is why I really don't like time travel plots! It doesn't make sense that Dean wouldn't let him go back. There are some weak points in this episode, with regards to everything making sense, with regards to the lore and what happens. At least to me. I still like it, though. Something new. I think the show needed a bit of something new. One thing that irks me - he wouldn't have needed to save Sam and Dean from Abaddon if he hadn't brought her to the future. So that doesn't do much for me.

I mostly agree with you, but this one passes by a hair. I think Dabb just had a different outlook on John and his story than what we've been led to believe. It's his right to do that - as long as it's not a total rewash.

There is a place called Normal, IL -- my brother lives there!

I believe that they buried him because he wasn't a Hunter, he was a Men of Letters, and they felt it was more suited for him.

I thought Moriah was a great episode, & that this episode is a good one.
