Actually, in the beginning of the show Damon knew Katherine wasn't dead - he believed she was in the tomb and he'd just have to wait until the comet returns for a witch to do a spell that frees her. Also, back then they didn't know about Originals, let alone about their ability compel vampires xD

Great reaction. Alaric is human now, I thought with that she would get her memories back, now we just have to wait and see.

Going to therapy works (usually) for humans. I'm not so sure how well it would work for a vampire. Losing the love of your life (which Katherine wasn't for Damon) while having extremely heightened emotions would probably be extremely difficult for a vampire. We don't really have anything in the THE universe to compare it to.

That moment where damon calls bonnie's is probably one of my favorite damon moments because I always thought his reaction to what her last words were are hilarious and how he shows how close the 2 of them got while in the prison world which was a long way from back when they hated each other's guts

I really liked that we see Damon and Bonnie formed a genuine friendship while trapped together. I loved that he called her and told her he missed her even though she couldn't hear him. It kind of reminds me of when he sat ansd talked to Alaric's grave
