I remember as a kid wishing comic book heroes would be on tv, I remember seeing reruns in TV guide on a channel we couldn’t get for a show called The Avengers and thinking it was about the comic book, not realizing no tv show maker then knew what that comic was and that it was actually an old British spy show. Now every single comic book I ever loved they are making TV shows and movies about! I hope they do a live action Legion of Super Heroes show one day, they did a two season animated cartoon a decade or so ago, and a few of the LSH members were in an episode of Smallville I think? Trivia: The Doom Patrol and The X-Men premiered within a couple months of each other in 1963, one from DC, one from Marvel. Both were about teams of outcast ‘freak’ heroes with extroidinary powers led by older men who were confined to wheelchairs, and The Doom Patrol fought the Brotherhood of Evil and the X-Men fought the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Because of how long it took to bring a new comic to market, plagerism was impossible, but coincidence can be stranger than fiction.

When I discovered a comic shop in the early 80s, rather than snap up all the latest titles, I was fascinated by the offbeat and weird comics of the 60s. The Doom Patrol was the top of that heap. Later in my teen years, Grant Morrison reinvented them, made them surreal and subversive, and that remains my favourite piece of super hero culture to this day, I cant believe they actually made a show out of it. It does rub me the wrong was severely that Cyborg is in this even though they are playing loose with continuity.

That's a pretty fun show.

Yep, the voice is Alan Tudyk. I met him once and got him to do the "I did not murder him" line (Sonny the robot from the Will Smith movie, "I, Robot").

ASR: "I'm getting some serious Professor X vibes from this dude" He should get an oscar and beat Patrick Stewart over the head with it.

I enjoyed that, wasn't expected to but I didn't know Brendan Fraser was going to be in it. Didn't really release it was his voice in Titans. Looking forward to more and your reactions to it.

Brandon Wiesner

I enjoyed that more than I thought I would. I hope that the rest of the eps are as good though.

MittenCrab

Agreed. I enjoyed the measured pace of the storytelling. Focuses on introducing the characters and fleshing them out. Having a top cast also helps.

Hey Shan, I hope you don't overwork yourself. Don't feel obligated to react to things if you don't have the time. Life is not all about watching videos, and sometimes other things must come first. You're still young, and I would hate to see you stretch yourself too thin.

Calvin Allen

The crew was mad at Rita because she got the man with one arm fired. She felt uncomfortable around him but he was good at his job and everyone liked him but her.

Talon Karrde

about to watch this for the first time with you

Talon Karrde

Gotta say I love how this portrayed his feelings towards his family despite not being the best guy

Talon Karrde

Oh god... him being upset that he isn't able to feel pain... that hits deep

Talon Karrde

Um that ending was... something.

Talon Karrde

Umm she was probably scared of filming near the disease infested gator infested rivers of African forests and getting a disease or dying
