I think her biggest problem is he killed Aaron's aunt only a couple of months ago (she said she wouldn't judge him about how he escaped 50 some odd years ago) but I agree. I couldn't care less about the Whitmore's. They sponsor this torture and deserve what comes to them. I mean they clearly never stopped since Enzo is still there.

Elena said she wouldn’t judge Damon for what he had to do in order to escape decades ago. It’s still completely understandable that she would be upset about hearing that he then went on a fifty year grudge-fuelled killing spree of the descendants, who had absolutely nothing to do with Augustine. Which includes time that they were together, and theory kept no secrets. The descendants not having connections to Augustine (or at least none that Damon knew of, considering he said he thought the disbanded decades ago) is pure revenge and murderous hatred. I don’t exactly blame Elena for being at least momentarily shocked.

I wouldn't throw someone into a fear like that. Yes, I rather watch the original compare to TVD. I think this is around the time, I gave up on TVD.

I agree. Especially considering Elena just found out her father had been an Augustine -- the people he killed were people a lot like her and Jeremy. But even so, I think Elena was less upset about the fact that Damon was killing Whitmores than she was about the fact that they were starting a new relationship and he was lying to her and keeping secrets.

Technically Elena said she wouldn't judge Damon for doing what he needed to do to escape. Killing all of the Whitmores years later, long after he'd already escaped, is different. I also think she was particularly bothered by the fact that he killed someone recently while they were dating. A relationship is nothing without honesty. The doing it behind her back element is what really upset her -- and rightfully so.

Elaina said she wouldn't judge him for the things he did in the past... He was supposed to had been better since they got together. Anyone in their right mind would be bothered by that sudden information.

It is called exposure therapy. It is a common method used for phobias and anxieties. This was more extreme, Then they would use for the average person. However sense Vampire's emotions are heightened, It may have been exactly right.

I disagree with you. The Augusines captured and tortured vampires for generations. Why would it be wrong to stop that?

I kinda think that the reason Damon was so driven to get his revenge was for Enzo. Damon and Enzo were friends and he must have felt terribly guilty having let him die supposedly, even though there was nothing he could do. I really like where that story goes from here

I still love how all this Ties back to season one, how did Elena come to know Stefan as a Vampire? The man staying at the boarding house who had seen Stefan in 1953 from the film footage of his "Uncle" dying or being killed by Damon, e.g. an Animal Attack, why Stefan probably wasn't looking for Damon as well.
