Pylean Fred makes this episode worthy of our time... The rest... Meh.

Eric Zebrowski

Emmm.... KFC Finger Lickin' Good! lol

Such a humorous episode

Dontrell Durant

I have a question/ proposition. How about after Firefly and Buddy ends, you replace them with ONCE? How about it Shan?

Chris Peacock

Dollhouse is first, but Once is confirmed to be coming... assuming by ONCE you mean Once Upon a Time. If you mean the movie Once then no it isn't coming, but I do think that was a great movie. :)

Interesting observations on what happens with memory loss story arcs in other shows. I think there's some 60s sitcoms with the same story.

Clara V.

100% off topic but I can't not mention that your nailpolish game is on fire in this one :o

Ron Fehr

I don't think that the Lornettes were from Pylea. Remember that Lorne was an anomaly. Only he could hear music in his home dimension. And that raises a question. If the Lornettes were makeup to look like Lorne, would he have to wear makeup to keep his green skin tone under the stage lights?

Skinner calls it intermittent reinforcement. It works as well on humans as it does on doves.

Your faces during the Wesley phone call...

4:58 today........................................?

Crap Writing Co.

Mmmmm; pantyless Stephanie Romanov, just the thought of that was hot AF then, even better now...

Second_Strike

This one probably ranks in my bottom 5 episodes for the show. It has its funny moments, but it is essentially the most filler-y of filler episodes.

When I first watch this episode and the final Cordy scene came I just laugh, like amnesia? really? (pretty much like you Shan) After that, I get totally turned off by the Cangel bait, this season in general turn me off. But it has some good things though, I really like the Lila/Wesley thing.

J.D.

The concept and execution of this episode are really great. Never liked the whole "SUDDENLY CORDI" aspect though.

A lot of video games owe their success to this principle these days! But I don't think the Casino is entirely full of people with no destiny, just one section. Those people will keep playing even if they never win because they have no will to do anything. But Casinos are big places, and I'm sure there's plenty of regular people with regular chances of winning.

Sorry Shan but during the intro your air violen looked less like you were playing an instrument and more like you were attempting to saw off your arm 😜❤

Nick Velasquez

So Vegas native here. Born and raised....there is sooooooooo much wrong with this episode. 1) The Trop is totally a dive not a high end hotel casino. 2) it’s on the far south end of the strip, Fremont is at the far north end (literally the end of the strip) 3) Elvis and Priscilla were married at the Aladdin, not the trop. Just to name a few lol

Claire Eyles

And now the question is, which version of Lady Marmalade was Shan singing in her head when she was singing along to Lorne? Patti Labelle, All Saints or the Christina, Pink, Lil Kim etc version? And if anyone is wondering what "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi. ce soir" means, it's "Would you like to sleep with me tonight". LOL

UTU49

I know! I hate amnesia story lines too. Bleuueaaaaahhh.

Love how you kept saying you hate amnesia stories in your other reactions and then I remembered this story line lol.

FernWithy

I think they could probably get away with it for a while on the tourist trade, because people come in not knowing that no one ever wins. I couldn't tell you which Vegas casinos have shady reputations, since I haven't been there since 1983. ;p

Jake Hodgson

The scene in the intro you are talking about that seems stretched was if i'm not mistaken from the unaired pilot episode.

I always assumed that when they just give people quarters to use on machines, the money is just recycled bacl to the casino. Also, the the money they get from regular tourists with unremarkable futures that leave and selling people's destinies all combine to give the casino a sustain income at least.

I think you might be starting to understand why a lot of people have problems with season 4.

Andy Hallett...still missing his voice.

Ron Fehr

I love your comment about your local casino giving you money to gamble away. Better off spending it on KFC instead of blowing it gambling. I would have done something similar. Not a gambler.

Richard Lucas

Angel is definitely making that shit up to fuck with them. He’s basically trolling them, but let’s let him have some fun

In case you weren’t familiar with the first song Lorne sang in the show, here is the original version: https://youtu.be/rRZ-IxZ46ng

Signe (Seena) Stewart

"They gave us $10, so what did I do? I got KFC!" The proud laugh afterwards was so adorable!! 😂😂😂

I kept this eps off bc it not my fav eps. But I like your reaction to it.

Good question about the casino's strategy. I'm not sure if the writers bothered much to flesh out the logic. But my interpretation is that this particular casino is really just a front. The real business is the secret acquiring and selling of "destinies," or as I prefer to see it, "good fortune." The casino is simply there to provide a plausible and normal-looking setting for the real moneymaker. Also, I think they could do what real casinos do and "make sure" that a scattered few people win, just enough, to sustain interest. They were weirded out at Angel's win because it was so large, and because they thought they had "stolen" his destiny / good fortune. He, specifically, shouldn't have been able to win.

Eric Haefele

Memory loss? I thought you liked "Tabula Rosa".
