Simmons has always been my least favorite character (still loved her) up until this episode. It really highlights her most important traits. her scientific mind and her hopefulness. what i love about shield writers is their ability to create drama but not drama for the sake of drama but a realistic outcome to being stranded on a planet with someone. i loved fitzsimmons ship as well but this is done so well that near they end i truly understood why it happened and i wasn't upset. It was just a tragic situation all around. Bonus: Fitz is even more awesome after this episode.

One of the best eps. Elizabeth who plays Simmons, should have gotten award for outstanding performance.

Mten10th

This is the episode that Fitz became my favorite character on the show.

Signe (Seena) Stewart

This is such a polarizing episode. You literally see 3 characters in it (not counting Hive), and some people hate how slow it is, I love it for being a changer of piece without losing the show's integrity. And Fitz ❤❤ be still, my heart. Fitz is so undeniably wonderful. I kinda fancied him before this episode. This pushed it to full on loving him!

Really? As another person who puts Simmons in last place, this episode didn't change my opinion of Simmons at all. Her actions on the planet (until the last scene) were commendable, she survived and her scientific mind and hopeful outlook did serve her well. And then what happened? She stands there in the sand storm and just shouts for Will...she doesn't run away, she doesn't try to fight, she just stands there shouting.

WB

I hate episodes like these. I already know she lives, I already know that the bottle doesn’t work, and that she doesn’t leave until Fitz comes.

Your math was pretty good, but it's closer to 6 1/2 months, since most months have more than 28 days.

Katherine Thoreson

Notice one of the last things Jemma did with Will was drink wine....old crappy wine, yes......but it explains why she broke down in the restaurant with Fitz.

Kelly Parks

There is a Sun. If there wasn't the planet would be frozen solid, atmosphere and all. She's near one of the poles of this planet and it doesn't have much axial tilt. So the Sun stays just below the horizon here and you get this endless twilight.

Kelly Parks

Her phone is still alive because the Marvel Universe has higher tech than we do. Plus Fitz built it.

all true love is unrequited

I think this is the episode that made me realize that Fitz had already been my favorite character for at least a year already and I hadn't even noticed.

I really love how Fitz prioritizes being her best friend over his wanting a relationship. Doing otherwise would likely just lead to him losing her altogether, and I don’t even think it’s him being selfless so much as proving that he truly loves her as an extension of their friendship and wanting it to be even deeper and stronger, versus simply being attracted to her. It’s such a breath of fresh air compared to guys who’s reaction would be to bitch about being in the friendzone.

The point of the episode is to develop plot points for future episodes and give some character growth to Simmons
