First, yes that is Emily's very unlikeable boyfriend, Ben from PLL 😁 But Josh on TO is the best. I love him! I love Klaus so much. And he really does have a thing for blondes, doesn't he. You're right about the chemistry. They are very good at casting people with insane chemistry on these shows. This show is so good. I prefer TVD to this, but it's a close margin. (Damon weighs heavy on the scale 😄)

Yes, the witches in New Orleans practice a different magic from Bonnie, her mom, Klaus' mom, etc. They practiced Spirit magic, which comes from nature. Last season on TVD Bonnie learned Expression, which comes from the darkness inside the witch (or something, idk). Sophie briefly mentioned that the witches in New Orleans practice Ancestral magic, but we haven't been given details on how it works, other than it keeps them from leaving New Orleans.
