Can't predict whether True Blood would be your favorite right up there with Buffy/Angel, or if it would twist you inside too frequently. Everyone's personality starts at 100, and keeps going up from there.

OMG cant believe your doing True Blood reactions, it is such an amazing show, and more realistic when it comes to vampires and violence. Know you will love this show and most characters especially the best Lafayette...hes so funny and just the best!! one of my faves along with another hot blonde vampire :D gonna watch ep 1 reaction now but looking forward to your True blood journey

The irony of this show is that it's supposed to be all about prejudice and unfair stereotypes, but the show itself milks every stereotype imaginable about the South, Louisiana, Cajun culture, etc. Plus you've got the obligatory "angry Black woman," the sassy gay / trans character, creepy back-woods types. and the like. You are so right that all the characters are over big and over played. The premise is really good, and it's not dull, but the show revels a bit too much in cartoonish filth. It was fun rewatching it though!

yeah, this show is something. It would be interesting to see you continue with it, some answers to some of your questions, some other great characters (especially the Sheriff), and you have some of the best expressions to the weirdness this show thrives on and it would be interesting to see that!

There's a tier that people can join to request a pilot episode. I do just the pilot, but it can influence my decision to do the show when I have an opening - so I'm not being stretched too thin :P

Because it's Louisiana, where the French colonized before America became the United States of America, there's a lot of French influence. So the town is called 'Bon Temps' which is French for 'Good times'. there's a French Cajun saying that goes : Bon Temps Rouler which translates to 'Let the Good Times Roll'. You get a little of the cajun influence in the Originals but you'll find New Orleans, Louisiana has it's own particular culture made up from the mix of Creoles, Cajuns, Spanish, French, Native, and African cultures.

I really really hope you will pick up this show for reaction series once you have space! Lots kf sex, swearing and gore haha but its so stupidly addictive. Loved this show!

Couldn't tell if you were into it or not, you didn't appear to hate it but wasn't sure if this would be something you would do a full series react to. If you were to give it a chance I think it would be a great replacement to Buffy once that is done. Fun side note for you, while filming the show the actors that play Sookie and Bill found their chemistry transferred to the real world fell in love got married and had babies.

I think Tera is anything but an angry black girl stereotype. She’s angry af and she’s black, but she’s as complex as ever. Alan Ball who created this is from the South, and so is Charlaine Harris, the writer of the Southern Vampire Mysteries. I lived in a small town in Nothern MO, which is the Midwest, but God did they get those small town cliches right.

These are characters of the south (in the US), but Anna Paquin was born in Canada and spent much of her childhood in NZ. Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) is from Australia. Stephen Moyer (Vampire Bill) is from England. The number of different accents you would hear on the set would have been kind of crazy -- and fun.

Ah I wish you’d start reacting to the whole series. True Blood is over the top for sure but it’s also a wild ride and lots of fun. I think you’d enjoy it if you continued to watch.

I hope you pick this one up. It's a vampire show, but quite different in many aspects. Sookie and Bill are interesting characters . Heck, even all the side characters you saw are interesting.
