My biggest nitpick of this episode is how they kind of want the show to have had a time jump between seasons to explain away the change of personality between seasons and networks as well as their bad writing inconsistencies in 1 Maria line. She says Alex died last year when it's probably only been 6 months or so, and that he was only 17 which should be true but the grave they gave him in the season 2 finale has him dying 2 months shy of 17.

I think it's kinda fucked up that Max (and Isabel) have NEVER. once thought it was probably a good idea to clue their foster parents in on their alien origins ....Max is like "It would put them in danger" .....Yeah... Sure.... But MEANWHILE. you've been lying to the people that supposedly care for you for basically 12 years!!! ...Your foster parents should have been the FIRST. people to know! .....I wonder how this'll go down now ...12 years of lies ....Bish... If I'd find out after ALL. that time someone had been lying to me that ENTIRE. time ...I'd NEVER. forgive them for it .....So yeah I find the whole concept of their foster parents NOT. knowing about any of it to be extremely fucked up no matter the danger it poses ...ALSO... If you stop to think about it for a second... NOT. telling them is probably WORSE. ....Imagine Max and Isabel get into trouble with the government cause of their alien origins ...Do you REALLY. think that the government is going to believe that the parents didn't know anything??? ....Nah... Their whole lives would be turned upside down ...Every moment of their past put under a microscope and they'd probably be internationally known as the DUMBEST. people on the planet for not knowing about their own kid's secret ....It'd DEFINITELY. be better to fess up and clue the parents in ...And be an adult and face the consequences for lying to them for 12 years 2. Eeeeehmm.. Yeah what's up with the candlelight dinner between Maria and this Billy guy ...I feel like candlelight dinners are reserved for couples only ...They're just throwing it in our face that things are about to go horribly wrong 3. Ok... Pause... Why is this Billy guy getting visually upset with Michael when he's asking why Maria has stopped singing? .....I'm gonna hazzard a guess here and say he's come to Roswell cause he's in need for some back-up singer or something for his stupid band or whatever and he figured Maria would be an easy sell ...But given she's not really singing these days he's thinking Michael is the cause of that .....Let's see how I'm doing with this prediction ...Aaaaand play 4. Liz.... The fuck are you doing??? ....You're putting salt into the salt shakers by carefully using a spoon?? Taking salt out of the bag and putting into the shaker one scoop at a time??? ...That is SUCH. a "I don't really want to work" move ....While you COULD. just empty the bag STRAIGHT. into the shaker... You're purposefully prolonging your chore so that you most likely don't have to do any of your other work related chores 5. Ok... Michael... Calm the fuck down ...Maria is singing with her guy friend ...There's no need for you to get upset over that ...You're acting kinda jelly mah dude ...Girls CAN. have guy friends and vice versa ...It's nothing to get upset about 6. Hmmm... Odd... I was really expecting this fishing trip to end up with Max telling his dad the truth but it just ended up getting cut short after Max told him more lies ....I'm kinda over this whole story already ....Just tell the parents the truth! ...They've been part of your life for 12 years ...Obviously they care about you ...How about instead of worrying about "putting them in danger" ...You TRUST. that they will keep you safe! 7. Aaaaaand she kisses him back ....UGH .....Are they seriously going to go down this route of breaking up Maria and Michael? ...How about we don't do this? 8. Hold up Maria... You're gonna be in the front row of his concert or whatever and you're gonna throw your underwear at him??? First of all... How are you going to accomplish that?? How are you taking off your underwear in the FRONT. ROW. and not have anyone notice ....Or are you into some real freaky shit??? ....Second... Yeah that's not the kinda shit you say to your friend ...ESPECIALLY. not when you're in a relationship with someone who got jealous over your friendship with this guy ...I really don't like where this is going 9. Aaaand they're breaking up... UGH 10. Oh fuuuuccckkk ooffff!!! "This girl I've been for the past 3 years is just not me" ...Really?? Sure could have fooled me! There's PLENTY. of evidence throughout the show that Maria and Michael were GREAT. together and that Maria WASN'T putting on some sort of front ...Nah ...Some douchnozzle with a guitar comes along and sells you on some dream and how you're only able to achieve it if you're single and you take the bait!??! ...UGH ...I expected better from Maria ...This bish stupid 11. "It's not the girl I used to be" ....Yeah.. Newsflash Maria... People change ...You should be GLAD. you're not the same person you were before Season 1 started ...I mean.. Did you SEE. that haircut!?!? 12. And now Isabel is getting investigated too ....Imagine ...IF. you'd just tell your dad the truth ...Max is just making things worse
