Patreon have updated their billing cycle.

Subscription billing lets you charge new patrons monthly on the same date they joined. This is how patrons already expect to pay, and they’ll no longer be charged twice in their first month when they join after the 1st.

Should I change billing option?

Only a question, if i get a patreon on 09.15 and the nex day to pay is the 10.15 ? or is it a misunderstanding ?

my Patreon is already set to the 1st of the month anyway.

That's correct. Unless you're a patron before the change then you'll be charged the 1st.
