Hey guys! It seems the links to each of my Dropbox folder has been suspended due to excessive traffic. Apparently, way to many people have been downloading the folders to prompt such an unwarranted ban. As a result, Dropbox have temporarily put a timeout on public links.

The suspension lasts for 24 hours, and I am not able to find a way around it. This is pretty new and unexpected, but it seems I will have to make some adjustments to avoid any future suspensions

Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience, and I will see to it that the links are once again functional. If this continues to happen in the future, I will be dropping Dropbox for a better file-sharing service.

That’s alright, as in you don’t have to worry about us

Wait people got banned for downloading a shared file...the thing Dropbox was designed to do?!

Weird right?? Apparently, there is a 200gb download limit per day, and apparently exceeding the limit causes a suspension of public links. If another suspension happens, the ban duration is longer That's an incredibly flawed system, considering the price for each plan and what Dropbox was designed for.

God the fact that you have to pay for stuff now suuuuucks, I remember when it was free. And thats...200gb is really limiting for content creators.

I’m guessing this was because the recent Dropbox file size was pretty big compared to the last ones? Sucks how that resulted in a suspension tho.

… jeez, reading through this thread… yikes. That’s… incredibly dumb. If you do end up having to swap, do you have any alternatives in mind already?
