GPD XD+ CleanROM 2.0.1.1 Bugfix! (Patreon)

This update fixes an issue in the SPFlash build of 2.0.1.0 where the AOSP stock recovery ended up replacing the TWRP recovery on first system boot.

Existing 2.0.1.0 users that flashed their system via TWRP (rather than SPFlash) aren't affected by this bug and can safely skip this update if they want to.

I wanted to say thank you for this custom ROM and all the hard work you do you're awesome. I'm new to all of this and it's amazing I was scared to do the flash how's the GPD I have cuz I'm new to everything and still learning but it was super simple and easy I wish I could figure out how to do my phone maybe later on down the road I could figure that one out once again thank you for this it's amazing.

Loving CleanRom 2.0 so far! Just one question ... how can I get the names of my apps to display on the desktop? Right now, all I get are the icons. 'Hide app name' is disabled in the settings.

Hey in the App ES File Explorer, Root Explorer won't work. It says it can't run on this device. I've had this rooted before why does it not allow me to enable it?

It's a limitation in Lean Launcher. When the device is in landscape mode (which the XD+ always is) it will not display app names on the desktop.

Hi there. I'm going to update for the first time...how clean is the rom? I mean will I find any emulator on the system? Will Google Play work?

You won't find any emulators, but you will have access to Google Play. The preferred way of installation is to let the system boot once after a fresh install, then install Magisk on top of it and "Clear Data" on the Google Play Store for the fake CTS fingerprint to register properly. Installing the ROM this way will yield you full CTS / SafetyNet compatibility, giving you access to otherwise "incompatible" apps on the Play Store, like Netflix.

Hi! I just received my new XD Plus and flashed your great ROM. Thanks again for the hard work! One question regarding root (I probably missed something): Is my device now automatically rooted? In any case: What is the benefit? And if it is not - should I do it? (And how? :) I really appreciate your working and guidance!

Sorry for the late reply. It was a long day. Either way, no, it's not rooted by default, you really should though because CTS certification is only achievable on the XD+ via rooting. It's easy though: Just download and install Magisk after you finished the first CleanROM boot, then "Clear Data" for the Google Play Store app via Settings. You'll find your device is now rooted and you'll be able to access CTS-only apps like Netflix in the Play Store now.

No worries - thanks for the still very fast reply :) I will try it on the weekend. Just to be sure: The fist boot is already done and I downloaded some emulators. Can I still perform the steps you described or will I run into problems?

Thanks for the hard work. This week I'll receive my XD+ and I have a couple of questions. When doing step 2 and 4 from installation guide, the sp flash tool steps, must be done with the XD+ switched off? Must be powered on at any moment in those steps?

Fantastic ROM but I cannot longer see 5GHz WiFi networks .. is it a bug?
