I highly value your support and input, even if my comment-response-rate might not reflect upon it too well at the moment. I will elaborate on this in just a second.
So, what has been happening over the last few weeks?
CleanROM, IMO was a success, and gave us something reliable, fast and working to bridge the gap until source-built ROMs are ready to go for our GPD XD+. Furthermore, with the last revision I've also added a custom source-built TWRP recovery to the bundle (credits go to Goayandi for the TWRP device tree), paving the way for easy untethered updates (as in, not requiring a PC to apply them) and potentially, future OTA support.
But the real work is yet to be done, and those select few people that follow my github closely might have already noticed that I've pushed preliminary (still incomplete / broken) device and vendor trees for the GPD XD+. These have been eating away most of my spare time lately, and have been the cause of several restless nights, which, by the way, were fueled by coffee bought with the money you patrons so graciously provided. (Thanks again! You guys are lifesavers!)
The state of those repositories so far is that, yes, Lineage OS 15.1 will build, but no, it won't boot yet, but we'll get there.
Structurally, both trees are sound, which means from here on out it will be a lot of time-consuming trial and error to fix them up, squashing one bug after another, until they are in perfect shape to build our final source-built ROMs. This is also why I hardly ever respond to comments on my personal blog and / or patreon lately, as my average day (at the moment) revolves around getting my dayjob hours done and then spending quite a few more working on those trees until I drop dead into my bed.
I think however that I owe it to you all to keep you guys posted on the progress that has been made and will continue to do so in these monthly reports.
