I've just fixed a bug in the latest Android Nougat build for GPD Win/Pocket that caused the installer to black-screen.

The changes have been pushed to our github, as usual, and the Nougat release post has been updated with fresh download links.

Special thanks go to Zero3K from the gpd_devices Discord server for finding and reporting the bug.

Hello... I followed the instructions at https://www.black-seraph.com/gpd-win-android-installation-guide/ to install the latest Nougat build, but it seems that grub was not successfully installed on my device. When I boot into the built-in EFI shell, the message "\efi\Android\BOOTx64.EFI is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file. If I type "grubx64.efi" as in the restore-grub tutorial, the same message is given ("grubx64 is not recognised..."). Any ideas what's gone wrong?

I recommend EasyUEFI. I solve the same problem using EasyUEFI. Create boot order and select grubx64.efi. You can find the file in the EFI system partition.

Mind taking a logcat log for me? All x86-based Android builds more or less suffer from the same issue: app compatibility. Unless the app has been compiled for the x86 architecture by its author its almost a safe bet to assume it won't be working. It's just one of those things we have to live with when running Android on a x86 CPU. Non the less, throw me a logcat log first, maybe its a small issue we can work around.
