Unrelated but i have a question about charge date. Do we get charged 1st of every month or monthly on the date you subscribed?? Because in membership settings my charge date says september 6 so I'm confused.

Mine is the 1st of the month but takes about 2 or 3 days to process because of my bank

For me it's the day I subscribed. In the past it USED to be the 1st of every month but thankfully Patreon? changed it recently. You can check when's your next billing date by going to your Patreon's Settings and then clicking on Memberships. It should show "Next Charge Date" below the reactors/anyone you're subscribed to. edit: Today I learned it depends on the creator! That's weird.

For me it writes 6th but I'm used to patreon charging 1st of every month so i was confused

I also try to keep all of my subscriptions at the beginning of the month and not the middle. I’ve waited to redo some subs so it makes my brain happy lol

To my understanding, it depends on the Creator you are subscribed to. Patreon has two main models for billing. One is upfront and the other is subscription. They are both monthly recurring, but the billing date is different. With upfront billing, you get charged each month on the first of the month, at midnight PT (Pacific Time Zone). You are prorated when joining, paying a rate that reflects when you joined in relation to how much time is left until the 1st of the next month. This is a legacy billing option, but is still active for Creators who have had their accounts for a while and have not chosen to switch to subscription billing. With subscription billing, you get charged on the date you joined, at midnight UTC (Coordinated Universal Time Zone). For the Creators who have been around a while, they may still be on upfront billing and have the option to change to subscription billing. They have the option to change to subscription but, to my knowledge, have not been forced to do so yet. If you have been a user of Patreon for a while, you might be used to seeing Patreon billing coming through on the first, since that is how it used to be done. Newer Creators were presented with subscription billing as their default option when creating their account, and Patreon prefers subscription billing so they have been pushing the OG Creators to change over from the legacy upfront billing. How you are billed is up to the Creator though and some may still be billing everyone on the 1st with the upfront billing model. Blind Wave switched from upfront to subscription billing at some point.

Payments every month on your chosen date (which is what Blind Wave do is superior imo) It let's you have a system such as subscribe for 4 weeks, cancel for 1-2 weeks, then resubscribe for 4 etc. That way you can save some money by having your monthly payment stretch over 5-6 weeks and just settle for catching up on 1-2 week's content. The only way to save any money on "1st of the month" systems is to cancel for 4 weeks which can be inconvenient.
