Pausing Struck Content: Blind Wave's Gameplan (Patreon)

The Blind Wave Crew have been discussing how to proceed with the SAG Strike, and we have an updated proactive gameplan. We are pausing our posts of the following videos that feature struck content on Patreon as well as YouTube until we receive clarification from SAG:

• Ben 10
• Ben 10 Alien Force
• Band of Brothers
• Batman: The Animated Series
• Community
• Rome
• Secret Invasion
• It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
• Ted Lasso
• Movie Reaction Poll Winner - Inception

We have seen contradicting information originating directly from SAG on the issue of whether our style of content is seen as promotion from an influencer, which would be considered “crossing the picket line” – or if our videos are considered to be reviews and therefore should continue. BOTH of these classifications have been applied to different reactors who have reached out to SAG.

This current pause is only temporary until we receive clarification. Once we do, one of two outcomes will occur:

• If Blind Wave’s content falls within SAG’s guidelines to be able to continue posting reactions to struck content, we will resume posting as soon as possible.
  
• If Blind Wave’s content falls within SAG’s guidelines to NOT be able to continue posting reactions to struck content, we will halt the above reaction series and reevaluate their future on the channel once they are no longer struck.

Our goals are to continue to entertain our fans, while also supporting the writers and actors who create the content featured in our reactions. If we are unable to continue reactions to struck shows, then we will continue to produce reactions to non-struck shows and movies: anime, non-struck American productions, and non-struck content from outside America (i.e. the UK, India, etc). We would also take this opportunity to create, or possibly resume, other types of non-reaction content.

We know that this pause in content is disappointing, but it is important to us that we support the artists who bring these wonderful stories we love to life.
