"Rome" was unexpected but a welcome surprise on the channel. There's a lot of things about "Rome" that were ahead of it's time and groundbreaking in 2005 . The production level of the show is still really impressive by 2023 standards. The characters also really stand out in the series. I love Ray Stevenson as Titus Pollo but there are a lot of memorable performances aside from him in the series.

I’m kind of with this guy tbh. They still have to catch up with Peaky Blinders, Vinland Saga, Demon Slayer, Young Justice, Harley Quinn, and Vox Machina. Some of these have been out for many many months and they’ve started and finished entire new series before catching up on these which is kind of weird. Only saving grace for me is I like Rome but I get his frustrations. It just doesn’t seem like it’s a priority for them to catch up on previous shows.

Looking forward to going through Rome with the guys it’s a fantastic series. However, I do think it should be more of a priority to catch up on the legacy shows that returned months ago if not a year+ in some cases: Peaky Blinders, Vinland Saga, Demon Slayer, Young Justice, Harley Quinn, and Vox Machina. Got to keep in mind that Invincible, Cobra Kai, and The Boys are all going to return fairly soon as well (likely this fall or next spring). Then Stranger Things, The Last of Us, and House of the Dragon will be after that. The backlog of legacy shows is only going to continue to grow the longer they wait to catch up on them. Don’t get me wrong I’m extremely grateful for all the content we get but it seems to me they could have caught up on a lot of these by now rather than starting new shows. (I’m not talking about poll shows I get those will always be going I’m more referring to the random crew picks like Halo, Rome, Sandman, Wednesday, Cuphead etc.)

Don't come in here making shit up. This Rome reaction isn't taking away from any other show. Check their schedule, nothing has been on Thursdays with Ben10 for a LONG time. This isn't taking up a slot where another show could go. This is just an extra thing they are doing because an actor passed. So it was either this or nothing. They aren't giving "another middle finger" to you people, quit being so parasocial and taking this shit personally. Blind Wave can't react to ANYTHING anymore without SOMEONE throwing a fit in these comments.

nobody’s making shit up and nobody said this was taking up an empty slot in their schedule. i’m complaining that in the almost 2 years since young justice season 4 has released, they’ve reacted to now 35 different series (regardless of it being a poll winner, random crew pick or popular live show), without even as much as saying “we’re no longer reacting to it”. and that’s just one show, they have several series that they started but haven’t finished and are just ignoring, which is essentially just a middle finger to those fans. sure, i picked a hell of a reaction series to voice my grievances but that doesn’t change the fact that they could’ve sprinkled in some of the shows they’ve been neglecting onto their schedule in the past couple years

They don't have to announce when they are or aren't picking anything up, it all comes down to interest, time, and feedback. They have been vocal about not loving YJ since S1 and it has been on the backburner, throwing a tantrum when you don't get what you want isn't going to make it more likely to happen.

I am aware, but I do think it’s been long enough at this point that it’s worth mentioning. Some of these shows have been back for well over a year. I’m not going to continue to beat a dead horse but felt like it needed to be said. They’ve acknowledged some of the shows like Vinland and Vox but it’s been total radio silence on others like Peaky Blinders. At the very least I’d like a post or video detailing their plans for each legacy show, which I don’t think is unreasonable.

I love Blindwave but ever since joining Patreon I’ve never seen such a toxic fan base. I know it’s not the majority but they’re so regularly vocal, like Jesus Christ, I’d love for them to continue stuff like Black Mirror but I don’t need to scream about it like a entitled petulant child.

Hey guys, Chill a bit. We haven't forgotten anything, we have been slowly working on series we haven't finished. Mob Psycho was one recently that we did. The danger of doing poll shows on shows that aren't finished is that we create a back log of shows people expect when they return and have more seasons. It's impossible to watch everything and it's a tricky balance of picking shows that viewers want, that is popular not just among our viewers, and that we also enjoy. Also people having a criticism doesn't mean we have to resort to name calling. Just make sure we are respectful in our criticisms and responses. We are all here because we enjoy shows and fandoms and maybe even Blind Wave for some reason. And every show is someone's favorite, so stay respectful guys. Thanks for the response Aaron! The vast majority of us totally understand how busy you guys are and how tough it is to stay on top of everything. I do think it would be helpful if there was maybe a post or video made just detailing the plans for the legacy shows. I think where most of the complaining/criticism comes from isn’t that it takes a while for you guys to catch up on legacy shows but that there are other non-poll shows (for example Halo and Rome) that are started and finished rather than catching up on a new season of a legacy show first. Hope you can understand where some of us are coming from.

Apart from the obvious Titus and Pullo hype: James Purefoy is a great Marc Antony, Tobias Menzies' performance as Brutus opposite Ciaran Hinds as Caesar STILL stays with me, not to mention Kerry Condon as Octavia, Lindsay Duncan as Servilia, and Max Pirkis as Octavian! So excited to see the Blind Wave reactions! RIP Ray Stevenson <3

Nothing kills a channel / burns out reactors faster than forcing them to react to only viewer-selected shows imo. You gotta balance between polls, current airing shows, and crew picks to keep things alive. If people aren't vibing with the content they should unsubscribe. I'm super happy with the variety atm

Rome was one of the first HBO shows I ever watched and my first exposure to Ray Stevenson. Takes me back. Titus is 💯 the best boy of the show.

Just FYI, Boys Seasons 4 is delayed due to the strike. Same with Stranger Things, and as far as I know, House of the Dragon too. This strike will give them some leeway well into next year.
