So just a heads up Aaron, yang is older. This isn't spoilers btw, but raven and tai were together first she gets prego gives tai the baby then pieces out. Then summer and tai get together have ruby and raise yang and ruby together. Summer goes off on a mission and never comes back, assumed dead. Then tai is basically raising two girls on his own.

I honestly didn't think we'd get so much info on Raven so quickly. Previously it was just hints and mentions, this was like an info dump. Quite a lot to digest.

No where does it say Raven isnt fawnest. I think Crow and Raven are not blood siblings for like an orphan thing and its possible Adam and Yang was Born meaning Twins just one looks like the dad and other the mom.

Raven Branwen is Yang's mother's name. Yang's surname is the same as her Dad, Taiyang Xiao Long, while Ruby takes her's from her mother, Summer Rose

I dont know where it was said but i believe the leader of this Tribe was called Branwen and took in strays and Qrow and Raven were like his children. Kinda like Nora and Ryn they were just close friends this tribe took in. Only Nora and Ren seem destined as couple. While Qrow and Raven Saw each other as Brother and Sister. Im guessing Qrow and the rest fallowed Ozpin and Raven the tribe ways. I may be wrong but this is my feeling that there is a reason there is a connection with Adam and Yang and Raven even though it looks like obvious trama because Adam cut off Yangs arm.

The thing a lot of people seem to always miss with this episode that is kind of important is Qrow mentioning that "The people of Shion saw too." It's pretty much insinuated that the "tribe" that took Qrow and Raven in was a tribe of bandits. A WOR said that bandits roam, pillage villages, then leave quickly before the Grimm come in due to the negative emotions. Shion was the destroyed village RNJR stumbled on a few episodes ago. TL;DR: Raven leads the tribe of bandits responsible for destroying Shion village, the village RNJR found the dying Huntsman at.

To expand on characters and inspirations: Opzin is clearly based on the Wizard of Oz, and the Wizard of Oz's name is Oscar. As to how they exactly came together, we still don't know.

FUN FACT! The voice actor for Qrow is the same guy that does Edward Elric, and Oscars voice actor is the guy that does Alphonse Elric (in the original FMA).
