Leaves from the vine Falling so slow Like fragile tiny shells Drifting in the foam Little soldier boy Come marching home Brave soldier boy Comes marching home

Mako passed away after production for book 2 was complete. Book 3 is when the new voice is introduced.

Wait till next episode the feels incoming 😭

Skeletor

Aangs Zoo bending was quite Impressive If ask me considering he hasnt been training long.

TheWerdna

So as far as I know, Mako did record most of his lines for this season before he died. Only a couple lines here and there aren't him. Next season its not him.

Lalisa Truong

Yeah, next season, it may sound like Iroh but you can tell it's not really THE Iroh

Jezelle Bidois

Been waiting for this episode since they began avatar 😍😩😭😭

Next episode pronto please! The next one i cant wait to see Eric's reaction to.

Anonymous

Mako recorded like 95% of his book 2 lines. So most of this is still him. Book 3 is not him.

Aaron cracks me up so much!

if you guys haven't already heard from someone, a big project was recently completed to remaster ATLA in 1080p! you can head over to the last airbender subreddit for more info!

Supermonaman

Yeah Iroh's story is definitely the agreed-upon best part of this episode although I always enjoy all of this episode. Also you will be happy to know that almost all fans agree that Iroh's story should've gone last because it would be better as an ending. The final scene of his is in my opinion the best emotional thing in the entire series because it's the only thing that consistently makes me emotional mostly because of how much music affects me more than other things. I also agree with you guys that it's great how this explained his willingness and want to help people. Also the sendoff for Mako got more sad for me once I learned more about him and what a great actor he was.

Get ready for the next episode, it's one of my personal favorite Avatar episodes of all time.

i keep checking for RWBY, im hyped.

Thilde

I'll join the chorus yelling for RWBY :p

Anonymous

Yup we need that sweet sweet RWBY episode!!

JJ

yall know rwby has a huge amount of problems in plot, pacing, animation, and storytelling, right? has to be THE show that everyone likes it cause "cool fights, cute girls!"

Anonymous

So first of all why do you even comment here and randomly hate on rwby just let us appreciate it. The first season may have been rough in terms of plot and animation but it had a very low budget. The plot picks up in volume 3 and I have yet to see any reactor not going crazy over the second half of volume 3. It is perfectly fine that you do not enjoy RWBY but since most of the fans and the crew are enjoying it please stop trying to ruin it by hating. Thanks :)

What we like is subjective but apparently you like being a prick that thinks it's objective

Justin Johnson RWBY is doing better in japan than Avatar and Korra ever did by the way. By a HUGE margin.(don't say its cause of cute girls, RWBY is not even close to the best japan has to offer in that area, just like Avatar is not even CLOSE to dozens of animated shows and films from Japan) It has an A-list Japanese cast with merch in hot topic. It had 2 gigantic floor to ceiling banners at the entrance of new york comic con this year which framed the entrance to the show floor. It was number 2 on crunchyroll when it premiered there, only behind Naruto. it has had 3 theatrical releases in the usa and canada through Tugg, and also 3 releases in japan. RWBY volume 3 is playing alongside Makoto Shinkai's new film "Your Name." RWBY is collaborating with Arc System works(guilty gear/blazblue) to make a game because the craetors called out that they loved RWBY in an interview a few months back. It has a serialized manga, drawn by Shirow Miwa, that is produced in japan by Shueshia that is also translated professionally by viz media. Its soundtrack overtook both Drake and beyonce to be number 1 for a few days on itunes, and in japan it does even better. It has a hilarious spin off show called RWBY Chibi. RWBY is currently on 3 giant storefronts in Akihabara due to the volume 3 dub release. I could go on. Avatar is a better show overall right now, but no need to rip on RWBY, clearly lots of people love it.

I love RWBY. It's a web series with a tenth of the budget of other anime's and I personally feel it can compete with the best of them. but please keep RWBY related comments for RWBY related videos.

Anonymous

That was great. I just upgraded to $5 for more Avatar.

Skeletor

Knowing Eric who likes the show as he does. I am certain he will almost blow his lid during the Finale of Book 2. Wont say why but those who has seen it know what I mean.

Eric Smith

Pretty sure the brother thing is RWBY, Neath Oum voicing Ren instead of Monty. The second voice actor for Iroh is Greg Baldwin.

Zack Aranda

"just like Avatar is not even CLOSE to dozens of animated shows and films from Japan" Well, that's not really true. Avatar can go toe to toe with any anime. Anime in general just doesn't have this level of writing and animation. If Avatar was technically an anime, it would be in the top 10 of all time easily.

Anonymous

You have not watched enough anime, I said dozens. You realize that there are thousands of anime shows and films right? Avatar would be in the top 100 animated shows ever, but nowhere not the top 10. Every Ghibli Film, Makoto Shinkai's films, Redline, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter, etc. Avatar is phenomenal but it is still held back by certain things. Its rating and the fact that it does have weak episodes(not bad). The fact that you know the ending from the start also hurts it even though the journey is amazing.
