Two out of four shirts in the video are from me. That is a good ratio.

Out of the 7 figures in the table, 3 are mine! Good ratio, as well!

Aaron looks like he's got a tiny top knot when he turns to the side and a little red bow :P Around 17:57

"Why don't they do two a week?" - Calvin...

Anthia Grant

Exactly! One episode a week will carry them straight into next year. It's getting too good now, can they really wait that long until the epic finale???

To clear a little up in regards to the Ishvalan Civil War, it was an Amestrian Soldier that killed an Ishvalan girl, not an Ishvalan that killed an Amestrian Girl as Calvin stated. Also, since you (Note, that's a general 'you', not meaning to single out Calvin) brought up Aaron's pronunciation of 'Homunculus' I feel it only fair to point out that it's 'Alkahestry' and not 'Alkahistory'. Also, in regards to that 'Homunculus pronunciation' bit, I advise everyone to turn on Yotube's Closed Caption/Subtitles feature for an absolutely fantastic line.

Ashgar77

I think he was mocking the people that keep asking for it in the comments. ;)

"Why do they keep ending the show." - Eric. I mean, you guys are the ones who chose to not do 2 a week for any show again after Avatar.

Oh this reaction. Every time I rewatch it I'm so surprised that they manage to get Scar's entire backstory into half an episode. It feels much longer, and the emotional punch is great. You know what else is great? The discussion to this reaction. :D That was AMAZING. You're getting into the meat of this show, and yet there's so much to come. Some really interesting talks this time, and I can't wait where that will lead in the future. Also, maybe it's schadenfreude, but I love it when you guys get pissed that the episode is ending. I feel like that's a credit to the show. "Why does it have to end at all?" very good point raised Eric. :P I'm glad you noticed the cat. The true victim of the episode. Scar's backstory is tragic, and while it doesn't excuse his actions, it puts them in a new perspective. I'm of the opinion that he clearly wasn't in his right mind when he murdered the Rockbells, but it's also not something he can't claim responsibility for. The scene with Winry is so powerful, and when the ending song starts playing I can't help but getting teared up. I love how they use this ending song in particular and weave it into the episodes. I REALLY liked Aaron's analogy about how there are creators and destroyers, some are both, and some are just one. And that Winry is a creator. I'd never thought about it like that, but I love it. Also you guys pointing out the similarities between Edward and Scar was really great to hear as well. That being said, I understand your impatience with getting to see how things went for Ling. Well, we'll see if you'll get your answers next week or not. ;)

Ishval was annexed into Amestris and many Ishvalans were unhappy with the arrangement. So there was some racial tensions and animosity between Ishvalans and Amestrians. Then, one Amestrian soldier accidentally shot and killed an Ishvallan girl, which led to the civil war. Seven years into the civil war, King Bradley signed an order to exterminate all Ishvalans. This genocide ended the war.

Like others have mentioned, it was a amestrian soldier that killed an ishvallan girl, not an ishvallan killing an amestrian girl. I don't actually think that detail is a big deal, but I think its somewhat important to understanding the war and therefor scar a bit more. And Scar IS going after the military, since he's only killing state alchemists, who are apart of the military. The only reason he's going after Ed is because Ed is a famous state alchemist, due to the fact that he's so young.

Good note to take when looking at the blonde hair blue eyes portrayal of the Amestrians, the original author of FMA chose 19th/20th Century Germany as her inspiration for Amestris, further inspirations are revealed for other countries once they're shown. As for the tension in Ishval, Amestris was originally a broken kingdom, but has been on an uphill rise and slowly taken more territory as history goes on, hence the annexation of Ishval and the extreme prejudice built in to that, the Amestrian soldier killing the child is also a significant plot point to be seen later.

I'm considering watching you guys' reaction to this series because I watched Brotherhood but didn't like it as much as the television show original (I know that Brotherhood is based of the books and is the technical "Original") but the original show of course was FMA. I loved that one and it was a little darker, I was impressed for it not being book material. Anywho, maybe I'll watch this one now that I'm older and can appreciate it differently than the way I appreciate FMA. Also, this episode reminds me why I STILL TO THIS DAY do not like Winrey. They all had to grow up fast and I know she's a strong character, but god she irks my nerve sometimes. Thanks guys!

Princess Paladin

No, it was an Amestrisian soldier that shot her, not an Ishvalan. The girl was the Ishvalan. And yeah, there was already unrest.
