I had a bit of a slowdown recently due to a loss. However, I'm getting back into things and feeling good. I wanted to write Patrons and let them know that I am going to be doing some stuff to boost the quality of Dine Out: Reloaded.

I've already created a system that will be released for Patrons that includes a new per-lot settings feature. Letting you use NPC restaurants normally, while customizing each of your owned restaurants to your liking. This will make a huge difference to the way we use the mod, and even in single-restaurant situations is going to help make the experience much less buggy when you visit NPC lots with settings that are inappropriate for them.

Next, I've fixed a slow hosts bug that has been present for some time. Thankfully not everyone uses hosts ,but I'd heard of this happening and had a good save to help me find the cause.

Leftover delivery bags are a big problem. I am planning to address two big issues as well - leftover platters and placemats that kids draw on can cause a lot to fail to load. So I am going to make a scanner for placemats, undelivered orders, and failed pickups that will clean them up.

I'm also going to make the pickup system more reliable. My mod does just fine telling the game to send a Sim to pick up a meal, but when a restaurant is busy it might decline. So we will be making sure those Sims are better able to get to their order to pick it up in the first place.

Once all this is cleaned up, I will start work on a buffet feature for DO: Reloaded. It will be a bit of a challenge, but I think it's something players would enjoy trying out. To have waiters stocking the tables. Having no host, just Sims can walk in and eat with an entry fee or per-plate price. Mark as buffet table and it'll hold the food on plates like at home. Sims can grab one and head to their seat. Sounds nice eh. I personally find this a cool idea because we can use the menu system to determine which foods to serve, and then scan the tables for what is missing or low and have the chef working to replace it!

Anyway, I am happy to be back to work on this project that so many people love and support. Thank you for backing my project and I look forward to sharing more here soon!

I'm sorry for your loss. It's lovely to hear that you're feeling better, just don't stress your self out getting back. Take your time and get some good rest

you 🥩 riding, idk nothing about an absence i commented on the latest post because i wasn’t trying to look through all these posts to find 1 thing. you don’t even know what you’re talking about. if he’s hurt or something i didn’t read the post and i though i explained that but it’s cool. like i said you just don’t know what you’re talking about and speaking without thinking. it wasn’t rude of me to comment under his post asking for something on his patreon when i’m trying to buy something.

For some reason my chef, or played sim as a chef, isnt finishing cooking meals and just cooks on a loop for hours and hours. I have tried resetting the sims and chef station. Ive tried re-loading the venue. And if tried not fast forwarding at all. I have also made sure orders are being taken. Anyone else having this issue?

I had some of that trouble with my sim at home. she would never finish a meal and couldn't eat some cooked meals (at home). I found that reloading my game (even if i saved at the glitched point) made cooking work again for a time. Now I haven't seen that happen in a few days. as a side note i started playing again after a long break and had just dl'd the new horse expansion, so I had thought it might have been the cause. but i dont know.
