Larger Groups
The biggest group Dine Out supports is actually the family dinner, which caps at 3. And with only one child Sim. You almost never see large amounts of Sims in a dining group. I've got a fix in the works for this, and it will be OPTIONAL. To add a chance that groups will be bigger sometimes, giving you a reason to use those 8-seater tables!
Better Diner Arrival
Right now, Dine Out does something really dumb when you open. It spawns all the situations for diners at once, and loads the LEADERS. However, the other guests get put in line to spawn. So it's entirely possible that the first diner in a group will show up, but the rest won't be there for another half hour. I have fixed this and it will be going into the next version.
Super Smart Table System
Dine Out likes to seat guests outdoors, even if there is literally a thunderstorm or in freezing temperatures. I plan to make the table system prefer clean tables that are indoors first (if weather is bad).
Better Waiter Cleanup
Right now, waiters do not autonomously clean until an order is ready and a table has dirty dishes on it. This was part of me fixing/rescuing stuck player orders when items are blocking delivery.
I will soon switch to watching for new guest arrival and telling waiters to clean if at least a couple tables are dirty. I will let you decide how many need to be dirty, by making this an option you can change!
Player Can Seat Themselves
I also have a system already working where when the player shows up at restaurants with the 'Guests Seat Themselves' option that will let you pick a table and skip the host, just like the guests do.
Hoping to Add More
I also want to make it possible that guests can get up to get their meals when they're done, so you can make fast-food type locations. This will be the next thing I work on after Sims Summit news coverage.
