The new filters system has sparked some discussion, and I'm glad that people are happy with the direction it's going and see the potential in this level of control. Some people have asked, so I'll answer.

Can we block occults?

Yes I will be putting in an occult blocking feature, and already have it working. So you can per world choose which occults are allowed to spawn. With the celebrity/fan/paparazzi spawn stopper, it feels pretty damn powerful already.

Homeless Sims?

Yup. We can do both homeless premades and homeless randomly-generated townies.

What about EVERYTHING?

Also yup. I'm not super happy with how strict it is, but we have the ability coming to block sims without homes, premade sims, and ALL premade sims without homes. The thing about all premade sims, is it really does mean all. The game doesn't want to spawn new Sims very often, so if you disable all premades, there will be nothing spawning in the worlds (for 90% of situations).

I doubt I could eliminate premades entirely, like they might show up at festivals and such, but it's going to be in your hands (perhaps) to make the Sims that will populate the world, and we can get rid of the others without you deleting them individually.

The hold up on this is I'd like to let you choose to make the game spawn some sims, and which region they will live in (while not being assigned to homes) so you can have truly random Sims in your game with minimal effort.

Yes, I would like that for the game to spawn some homeless premades/townies in the world, so that it doesn't feel empty. I had Sim Spawn Overhaul for as long as I could remember, I am not 100% how it spawned some unplayed-homeless premades to your neighborhood, but supposedly, it was to only spawn sims living within that world, however in it's later version for some reason it spawned unplayed-homeless premades/townies, not all but it had consistent homeless sims circling your neighborhood. So the world didn't feel as empty. And I liked that they were the same sims. I liked the frequency and consistency of sims walking around the neighborhood. Like I said, I don't know how the mod assigned which sims would be consistently walking by which neighborhoods, but I've noticed that when I housed some unplayed-homeless premades/townies, so I can edit their lifestyles, and since I used NPCC, so I can assign an NPC job for them, also, since I use Language Barriers mod, so I can assign their native languages, those same homeless sims are the ones that walk by around the neighborhood. Is it possible that you can implement a system that would remember which neighborhood a homeless premade/townie was assigned too, if we were to "house" them in the world after a save? Or does the game just tags sims as homeless or unplayed and it doesn't spawn them into the world? My personal preference is to be able to assign Unplayed Homeless premades/townies into a world along with sims that are living within that world to be walk-bys-- at least when you play whilst in your lot, I really don't mind community lots if there are other sims from other worlds that walk-by, I am ok with that. And just a suggest, I would also really like stray pets to walk by, or have residents with dogs to be dog-walkers. That is one thing I really didn't like about Cats and Dogs, stray pets were limited to Brindleton Bay.

This isn’t quite what you’re describing, but there is a lot trait that can be used in any world which will allow strays to appear on those lots.

Ah yes, I do know those lot traits, but I think that those traits will have the stray go into your house, if I am not mistaken?

Thank you so much - Paulson's NPC Control mod was the only way I could play with CAS CC (otherwise random hideous townies spawn with outrageous random CC outfits) but he has sadly stopped updating it and it's kind of broken.

Ohh this sounds really good! But I got a question, with the MCC mod there is a option to change random townies and so on, how often they like spawn into the game and even if you would rather not have them completely random and instead pull from saved sims in your gallery etc. would this mod affect this in any way? As I so do like the set up I got with MCC as then any townie that is spawned will end up looking good instead of the usual mess, so guess what I am trying to say is will this mod conflict with that in any way? Or will they work ok together?

"What about EVERYTHING? -- Also yup." Love this so much. Thanks for making choices a thing in a game that's supposed to be all about choices.

Imagine playing like it's after an apocalypse and you're like the only person left in the whole world 😁 Now I kind of wish we had zombies!

You can turn all current Vampires into humans with MCCC if you have it, and prevent new ones populating.

Hi Carl, I don't know if this would be useful to you in any way with your sim spawner idea, but someone actually made a better alternative to the gallery a while ago. It's still running and idk what the current status of the project is, but I thought if it could be of use to you it wouldn't hurt sharing.
