Update 0.4 - December 28, 2021:

Fertilize All is a new ability on all plants. THIS IS NOT A CHEAT. Your Sim must still spend the time doing it. Select an item stack with the picker (as you normally would) and it will continue using that item until it runs out. Automatically finds the closest plants and continues using items of that type!

Evolve all is also available and will save you a TON of clicking. All plants will evolve at once with this ability.

DO NOT INSTALL FERTILIZE ALL WITH THIS MOD YOU WILL BREAK BOTH

Update 0.32 - December 25, 2021:

This update fixes some issues that can occur when skipping seasons and a couple other bugs. 

Update 0.31:

This update fixes the dirt piles issue from Eco Lifestyle. Hopefully plants won't go back to dirt. Thanks to Bienchen (modder) who made a detailed post on the why's of the issue I think I fixed it.

Update 0.3:

The new update makes it much more reliable when shifting seasons regarding plants. I've fixed at least 3 bugs. It also allows you to set plants to Always In-Season without reloading or travel!

About Seasons Tuner:

This mod is something I have always wanted to have. The Sims 4 Seasons is the only pack I disable, because having weather on is a matter of taste and sometimes I do not want it to interfere with my gameplay. EA didn't offer enough settings. When I disable Seasons, I lose things I love like Bee Boxes or Scouting for children. Maybe I want my plants to grow year-round or stop looking ugly in Winter. This is not going to be a problem any longer. With the cheats in my Seasons Tuner, you can now disable features and seasons individually to suit your taste and have those changes persist across save games.

  • Disable Seasons individually
  • Always Sunny! set to base game weather
  • Grow Year Round - Make plants always in season! Bee boxes, too!
  • Healthy Year Round - No more Winter Twigs
  • Disable Color Changes - Plants stay the same year round.
  • Disable Fall Leaves
  • Disable Ground Snow
  • Keep the Stuff You Paid For!
  • Clothes, objects, build mode items, skills and careers will still be there, just not the things you don't want.
  • Always On - Set it up and changes stay when you restart

USAGE: Click the mailbox to get options, or use cheats that are listed below. You can disable up to 3 seasons. You only need to know two cheats by heart. Carl.MakeSunny will instantly make the world sunny, even from build mode.. Carl.ResetSeasons will put all settings to default, or you can delete the config file. Also you can Shift-Click the ground with TestingCheats On to find an instant Make Sunny Cheat. I chose not to use the mailbox so that you can use it everywhere.

The commands below are used by the mod. I'm providing them just in case they may be handy.

If you do not know how to cheat in Sims 4, see my handy guide to cheating. 

With the console open type the following commands. I am not endlessly repeating on and off here. They all end in on or off and every single one of the commands has both. Some of these require a restart or travel, but the changes will still be there when you restart.

Carl.SpringOff  Carl.SummerOff  Carl.FallOff  Carl.WinterOff - disable Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter.

Carl.SpringOn  Carl.SummerOn  Carl.FallOn  Carl.WinterOn - re-enable Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter.

Carl.InSeasonOn - Makes plants always be in-season. May require restart or travel.

Carl.AlwaysSunnyOn - This will change all weather in the game to be sunny and warm.

Carl.AlwaysHealthyOn - Prevents plants from withering to twigs during Winter.

Carl.ColorChangesOff - Stops plants and trees from changing color.

Carl.GroundLeavesOff - Stops leaves from appearing on the ground in Fall.

Carl.GroundSnowOff - Stops snow accumulating on the ground.

Carl.ResetSeasons - This will reset ALL the settings for you.

If you want to try, you can also alter these settings in Carls-SeasonsSettings.ini which will appear in your mods folder alongside the mod after you first start the game. Simply replace each with true/false, configure the game how you want and HAVE FUN!

Which ever way you use it, my mod will allow you to configure seasons settings to your preference within a few short minutes for permanent enjoyment.

I was looking to see if you had a guide/walkthrough to completing Cottage Living errands and ran across this mod. The "make sunny" I will use instantly for those tech festivals where it rains ALWAYS and for keeping plants in season whenever I want them. Thank you!

Hello are you playing in another language because I wonder if it is the issue I just fixed with strings where certain languages were not appearing I just re-uploaded the file. Are the season settings there on the mailbox?

Hello, my evolve all or fertilize all does not work either. Do we need to have something activated besides the testing cheats? Is there a special mailbox we need to use? Any conflicting mods?

Is there something special I need to do to active it? I have installed it into my mods folder and it shows up in the Mods list in the game, but I can't see anything when clicking on the ground or mailbox?

when i have always in season and always healthy cheats on, the plants get planted then slowly fade away. my sim repeats doing the planting on a loop. i also dont have the options on my mailbox either

Hi Carl, great mods you are producing now. Just a quick question. Since installing the Seasons Mod, my plants now begin at frail quality when before they were normal, is this a conflict or is it supposed to be this way?

I have MC Command and a few Little Ms Sams in there, UI Cheats by Weerbesu and thats about it. I have never seen plants say anything but normal, nice, excellent etc until now, but I will do some investigating on my end and let you know the outcome. If I get the same results with just your mod I will indeed send you the results, thanks for the reply. :)

Hi Carl, After installing this MOD I've noticed that my bee box has stopped working. No matter how many times I "bond with bees" the bar never goes any higher so I can't collect honey or collect swarm. Also, I've sat and watched both the bee box & my crops & the bees never go out & pollinate my surrounding plants. I LOVE the fertilize all option & the evolve all so I want to keep using this but anyone else having problem with their bee boxes?

Hey Carl, quick question: Whenever I choose the "Make Sunny" option (for holidays or other planned outdoor activities), the weather seems to be stuck on sunny forever, no matter how often I turn the option off again via mailbox. Even after reloading the save. Am I doing something wrong here?

Dirt pile fix and being able to disable seasons and branchy trees are godsends. And the DU bot fix. I made a farm fully intending to be automated by bots, but they literally just did nothing. Really excited to see if this fixed that.

Hi Carl thank you this mod is amazing & has really improved gameplay for me :) Just wondering, does having 'In Season always on' affect plants in shelters? I have plants under shelter that aren't growing - they're ones that were 'out of season' before I enabled your mod setting. Hope this makes sense - I guess I'm asking, we don't need shelters at all now do we with your mod..?

Hi Carl, I love your mods and your website has been my go to since Sims 2! I just wondered if you could/would consider adding in a way to disable random spawning of roller rinks and food vendors in worlds? I believe this is part of Seasons. I hate it! It makes playing a History challenge nigh impossible because my Celtic sims shouldn't be roller skating and eating hot dogs. Thanks for all you do for the Sims community!

May I ask, would it be possible for the always sunny to not include it to always be warm? I live were there are plenty of cold and or cool days while sunny. If it is not possible no worries, just inquiring. Thank you for this fantastic mod and your prolific guides!

I can't get this mod to work at all. I have downloaded both files but there are no settings availble when I click on the letter box. I have got testing cheats on and script mods on as well

Hi Alyse, I have worked to get my mods into zips over time because some of them get corrupted during download due to some wacky shit the browser does to them. Is it possible you can try right-clicking the files and using save as, so that they will not be modified... and in the next couple days I'll try to get these moved over to zips :)

Hello, I also can't get this mod to work at all, I removed all my mods and CC, cleared the localthumbcache, and clicking/shift clicking mailbox does not show the tuner. I downloaded the files using 'save as' and made sure it wasn't set to ZIP archive.

Hello again! I finally got the mod to work by having it in only one subfolder. I originally had it in /mods/carls sims 4/seasons tuner/. It now works as /mods/seasons tuner/. My resource.cfg file supports up to 6 subfolders, maybe that would help in figuring out what is going on?

This mod doesn't allow the free will of my sims and also the npc is not working.

For me to help, you need to give me a bit more info. This is a seasons changing/tuning mod so if it is messing with your Sims' free will, it'd be very strange. It doesn't mean something can't go wrong, but it's just not easy for me to tell how. I'm not sure which NPC you mean as well.

I want to try out this mod because I have been looking for variable season length so I am wondering if I can achieve that with this. Basically I want fall, winter and spring to last 7 days (my default setting) and summer to last 14 days. Will that be possible with this mod? Can I turn off fall until day 14 of summer and then turn it back on and not need to restart my game to have it take effect?

Hey Carl, I'm wondering why you gave Newcrest special treatment in the package file? You have a hardcoded venue list. For me, it was conflicting with LittleMsSam's More Buyable Venues, where the ownable venues weren't showing up. I narrowed it down to this mod. I removed the Newcrest region entries and now I can select the ownable venues. Not sure if anything else will be affected?
