small context :

recently fern has being acting strange, she is mean with stark (wich is normal) but a lo more often and what is strange, mean with frieren, nothing please her and everything seems to bother her, perhaps she migth be to tense ? is what the elf came to conclusion after tink about it, then we see her asking for stark about an opinion for what to do next, wich a grin comes to stark's face, he recentnly learned something while he has free time and was doing some chores on the city that considers helpful for Fern.

the next day, Frieren and Stark woke up early to catch up Fern, used some ropes to tie her arms and each one grabbed one leg to then remove the legs and socks , such a surprise see Fern had some big feet, but more how soft they felt  but then after sligthly touches the younger wizard wokes up, pretty upset, and ask what kind of joke they are doing and to stop it inmediatly.

then we see both ignoring her and proceding to teach her a lesson.

first frieren and now is fern's turn

on anime we can apreciate how she has a pretty unique way to speak and personality XD, so for me, its matter of time she gets a taste of her medicine.
