The Fall of the Re-Estize kingdom wasn’t too shocking. Everyone knew the Kingdom’s myriad of internal issues were getting out of control and that its collapse would not be unexpected. That being said the Sorcerer Kingdom’s violent decimation left many with an uncomfortable feeling about whether or not even the rotting Kingdom deserved such a fate.

The utter destruction left behind Ainz Ooal Gown’s warpath left few survivors who were made refugees. Though many were enraged by the atrocities of the Sorcerer Kingdom and none were as angry as Lakyus Alvein Dale Aindra.

A former noblewoman of the Kingdom turned leader of the highly-esteem Blue Roses adventurer group, she wanted to fight against that monstrous tide that devastated her country to the bitter end. She would have gone down in glorious battle had it not been for the other, more-rational members of the Blue Roses who had to forcibly subdue their own leader.

They apologized for that, they really didn’t want to but her own stubbornness left them no other choice. Either they lived to fight another day or die in vain for a failed state. Evileye, Gagaran, Tia, and Tina reminded their leader and friend that the Sorcerer Kingdom was unlike any foe they ever faced before, with lieutenants strong enough to solo most of their party.

Yet her country’s destruction kept the flame of rage burning bright within Lakyus and wouldn’t tolerate inaction against the Sorcerer Kingdom. Unwilling to drug and mind control their friend a second time, a compromise was reached: insurgency.

The Blue Roses had prior experience using hit-and-run tactics to strike at enemy-controlled resources. They did it before against the Eight Fingers crime syndicate that contributed to the Kingdom’s rot. The Sorcerer Kingdom would just be another enemy albeit a more difficult one to beat.

With cautious determination they set many resources ablaze. If Ainz Ooal Gown desired it, they would destroy it.

Their efforts certainly had an effect, the Sorcerer Kingdom began offering bounties for their capture.

Any other adventurer group would cower in the face of a bounty placed by the Sorcerer King, but they weren’t just any ordinary group of adventurers. They grew ever bolder with each successful raid, striking deeper and deeper into the Sorcerer King’s territory.

Than like any one drunk on success, they went a little too deep.

In a forested area they came face-to-face with an opponent they’ve faced before, Entoma of the Pleiades Battle Maids. The insect master was formidable but not invincible. Last time Evileye spammed her anti-insect spell to defeat her. The battle was much different this time however.

This time various insects pounced out of their spider holes buried deep within the ground directly beneath. In that moment of shock and desperation to shack off every bug crawling up their skin, Evileye was shot with a mucus-like substance that kept her pinned to the ground. The ninja twins, Tia and Tina, made a mad dash to free their mage otherwise they had no chance of winning this battle.

Yet they recklessly left themselves vulnerable to a trap laid by Entoma’s spiders that ensnared them in web cocoons. Seeing her friends getting incapacitated so quickly only caused Lakyus’ sword swings to become more frantic, desperate to avoid sharing their fate. Even more so as she was effectively alone. Gagaran was too busy trying to hit Entoma but the Entomancer playfully danced around her hammer swings.

Lakyus was getting overwhelmed. Soon she felt a worm-like create wound up against her leg, holding her in place. More followed and was soon pinned to the ground like Evileye. It was at that very moment that the brute called Gagaran was tossed to the ground.

Yet Gagaran found her body unable to move while trying to get up. She was stuck in the plank position and couldn’t move anything below her neck. Entoma gleefully explained to the fuming barbarian how she picked her earlier with a nerve agent that paralyzed her body before taking a seat upon the heavy hitter.

So this was it. They were trapped and completely at the mercy of this monster who’d eat them. Entoma expressed her desire to consume them as such but told them how lucky they were that the Sorcerer King himself wanted them alive.

Though she reminded the Blue Roses that torture was still permissible to cast aside whatever hopes of reprieve may have been forming in their thoughts. Oddly enough Entoma began to recount a story of something that happened to her a while ago for staining the name of Ainz Ooal Gown with the failure of herself and the other Pleiades.

Namely how she was punished by Albedo with tickling.

Their hearts sank at the realization of what Entoma had in store for them. They were all deathly ticklish, especially on their feet. The monster in the maid outfit revelled in their despair…and she wasn’t done.

They were to play a small game before the main event: they’d each pick a number from 1 to 5. However guessed correctly would be spared
