State of the Game update July 2022 (Patreon)

The first major update has come out since launch. Adding new CGs, continuing the story and fixing some bugs. You can find the download link here.

What should I be excited for?

A lot of new stuff got added in this update. There are new CGs, there is a gallery mode, the story continues and a ton of new art has been put in. Both UI as well as character art.

Right now the game has 10 photos (technically 11, but one of them hasn't been colored yet) you can find and collect. From both main characters as well as side quests and with most of the base art having been put in, expect that number to be growing over the next few months.

Launch

The first release last month has gone over really well. Fewer bugs than expected (although... of course they were still there. There will always be bugs. Luckily, most of them were easy to fix.

This update adds a lot of the things that I wanted to include in the initial release, but couldn't due to a lack of time and resources. Meaning there's fewer placeholders, the story stop a little less abruptly and I've begun including gameplay mechanics like combat and language translation.

Patreon tier rewards

This is a big one. Last update I mentioned wanting to take a look at the Patreon tier rewards. Although not entirely up to date yet, they have gone through a change. Patrons can now get access to the OST, high definition versions of all the CGs, Discord channel and more.

I intend to add more over time, so check back from time to time.

Feedback form

Last month I also introduced something new. The Google feedback form which has been very useful for development. Thanks to everyone who filled it out. Version #2 is now live, so let me know what you thought! Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Next update?

Right now I think the foundation for a great game has been laid, but it's lacking in it's primary theme... adult content. The main focus for the next update is adding more of it and introducing more advanced forms (foreplay etc.) earlier on ingame.

Of course we'll also be fixing bugs, replacing placeholders and continue work on the story. However, I feel that it is important to focus and lean in more heavily on the adult content, which I feel was a weak side of Paprika Trainer.

When can you expect the next update? It will be a little while. Commissions have to be planned out, story needs to be written and my artists will have to find the time, but be sure to keep an eye on the monthly W.I.P. updates.

Wrapping up

The game is progressing incredibly quick. With more and more of the base features getting implemented, I will have time to write more scenes and story. Thank you all for your support and your words of encouragement. It's been a great help in keeping me motivated and excited to work on the game.
