A new month a new patch and oooh boy did we need one.

B-b-bugs

Paprika Trainer has been somewhat of a nightmare when it came to bugs. Looking back on the code now, there's so much I would've done differently with the knowledge I have now.

Throughout June there have been several patches which have hopefully ironed out the last of the problems, but I'm pretty sure the stress of having to track down and fix all of these has taken off a few years of my life. All of this is going to lead to some changes on how I develop games in the future. More info on this soon.

Android port

Besides bugfixing, there's now also an official Android port of the game! Meaning you can now play PT in public places! Like on the bus, meanwhile trying to desperately ignore the angry scowls of your fellow passengers as you blast the adult scenes on full volume at 8:00 am. :D

What's next?

So my artists haven't been available in June due to personal projects. Meaning I don't have much to show off just yet. But... know that production on Camp Mourning Wood has begun! Jodsy is sketching up concept art and Coldslums has started working on the first background.

There was 6 months of time between the launch of Orange Trainer and the first Patreon build of Paprika Trainer. I'm hoping to reduce that this time, but y'know... these things take time. Once I get more to show off, I'll get back to you guys.

What is Camp Mourning Wood about?

Unlike OT and PT, I'm hoping to move away from the 'The world is in danger!' style of storytelling and instead focus on a more relaxed and laid back experience that's mostly focused on hanging out with friends and chill gameplay (looking for puzzles, building the camp and solving mysteries).

Of course 'hanging out with your friends' takes a whole different meaning in an adult game and there will be a far greater focus on 'stuff' happening in this game. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I'm planning a larger roster of different girls. Each with their own flaws, interests and quirks.

A big change from PT will be that animations will become a stretch goal again. Although the animations in PT were great, the truth is that they're expensive and there's been a split in the community between people who like to see full voiced cutscenes (Paprika Trainer) and people who prefer reading scene overlaying still pictures (Orange Trainer).

As for kinks / fetishes. I'll be releasing some polls for these soon! OT and PT have been fairly vanilla, but maybe you'd like to see something a bit different? Let me hear your feedback!

Future of the Patreon

There's some big changes coming to the Patreon. Monthly rewards cards like the Jester Cards are probably going to be retired (or re-worked). They were a fun experiment, but people have rightfully pointed out that 'dressing up' should probably not be a main feature in the next game and time and resources should be spend elsewhere.

Instead, I'm hoping to involve the community more in the development of the game. Allowing you to help shape the game by voting on what to work on next. As well as releasing regular updates to show off what I've been working on.

All in all, lots of things are being worked on or tweaked. Stay tuned for future updates!

What have I been playing?

I was recently approached by an adult developer called S.I.D. Gaming, who's working on the game Park After Dark. A parody game that focuses on running your own amusement park with Disney princesses. I love the concept of the game and although only having played it for a couple of hours, believe there's a lot of potential for it.

I'm personally hoping for the park management to play a big role in it, just to scratch my Rollercoaster Tycoon itch =D. Check the game, there's a free demo is available on their Patreon page.
