Howdy folks!

So I aim to release the next update for the game next week. Version 0.9 will include a bunch of stuff including the ability to finishing Naboolicious, new models and the option for people to switch between the old and new artstyle.

BUT! That's not why I'm writing this update.... Oh no no no. In fact, I wanted to give this update just for a piece of work that I just got back made by the talented Octomush.

SPOILERS: To the people who already played through the social ranks of Shin'na, you'll know that at one point, she'll break down and cry in Ahsoka's arms. My aim has always been to have a nice piece of art made for that scene. Well... I just got the piece back. I'll make sure to include it in next week's update, but for those who have already gotten past that point in the game, here you can see the art piece:

Let me know what you think! And see you next week.

Excited about the upcoming version. Regarding the artwork, I find it somewhat 'obscure', but if that is the tone you are planning for the game or scene, then I guess is appropiate.

Wow... well done artwork, but that's a little too realistic for me. The game is still supposed to be somewhat satiric, tongue-in-cheek fantasy - isn't it? So maybe take away the smeared make-up, make the hurt in her features a little more child-like, so my subconscious can shrug it off more easily. That's my honest opinion.

Booty4Bass

They got some strong faces lol

great art piece man

Ken

Oh wow! That is a great and really moving art piece. Really good, I think!

Supreme Overlord Llama

That is a nice piece of art. Maybe I will just play through the game from the start when the new update is out :)

helvorn

I tend to start over or nearly over with each new release just to get the full experience as things change and are added.

the art work is cazy good your artwork is kinda all over the place though......

Just me who thinks shin has a rather masculine facial structure in that art??

exiscoming

hahah, now that you mention it... I'll talk to the artist to see what can be done.

exiscoming

Hi there Michael, So yes, the game is 99% comedic, but does have some scenes with drama in them. Don't worry, it's not turning into a soap series. Just a one off event.

no not child-like...18-24 age not 30ish like what i see in that picture. at 18-24 you can still see excitement in a women's eyes that is lost by 25+

Okay, thought as much. Will have this fixed by next weekend. Thanks for posting!

Impressed by the progress, bodies look great. Faces look a bit "stronger" than before. Something about that seems off to me, in the show, as well as with Flick's art the characters faces looked a bit softer. Ahsoka's features in particular were more stylized with big doey eyes and an innocent face. It lends itself well to the tone of the game, brings everything closer to the source material, and makes the corruption part very satisfying. I know a few folks have already pointed this out but I just thought I could put words to the feeling.

exiscoming

Hey Aaron, I agree 100%. This piece of art only appears once ingame. The rest of the artstyle stays the same. As for Flick, he's unfortunately no longer working on the project. I'm working with SamCooper now to try and replace the original artstyle, BUT you can still switch artstyles in the "Status" menu.

Thanks for responding, and I think you guys are doing a good job of that, keep of the good work.
