The rest was just cleaning/ refining from there. No recording because the recordings got corrupted. Happens sometimes with files that go over two hours long. Total inks took roughly 3 hours. Colours, to get them as they are in the final image, took around 10. Sketch took 4 because of how indecisive I was and the main drawing had a few hangups too. Specifically the gun and the hair.

Total time just over 2 hours. This drawing is important for several reasons. First and foremost it's my favorite drawing this year for sure as quickies/ speedpaints tend to be. It's mainly important though because it is in a style I think has more potential for growth in terms of quality as well as work flow than the comic style of lines to colors that I usually use. I won't give lines up - it certainly has it's place. But right now I find them limiting in some pretty severe ways. If you've seen some of my PSDs you probably noticed that at some point I just start ignoring them and start painting over them. So now I'm going to pursue this kind of style and work flow in earnest. More on that later.

I gotta get my hands on video editing software. Until then I won't be uploading videos to youtube. I want some sort of production value and silent speed up recordings just aren't doing it for me. I will however provide links to the recordings for the time being.

Let me take some time to whine for a bit. Feel free to ignore. This isn't a cry for help - I just gotta say what's on my mind sometimes. I don't mean to make anyone worry... but I can't keep it all in either. I'll be fine though.

Probably gonna make a tumblr or a twitter specifically for personal thoughts/ venting. Because man... been having a pretty miserable time. I really need to do a better job surrounding myself with friends because this whole suffering in silence thing is taking it's toll. Had an emergency dentists appointment that prevented me from going to Anthrocon which bummed me out on top of personal stuff and crazy shit going on in the world. Not going to get into details but I'm so glad I have art to take my mind off of things and I have fans of said art willing to help me go through times like this. A lot of awful things are going on and I have not responded well to them. Fits of uncontrollable shaking, tachychardia that destroys any prospect of sleeping, and just full blown panic attacks several times a day for over a week now. Thankfully they aren't emotionally driven ones so I'm not histerical or in tears or anything. Other physical symptoms remain though. Crazy blood pressure and possible heart failure are in the cards. Or not. I don't know because this is what panic attacks do to people. Whether or not it (or anything really) is happening the body responds like it is. Fuck.
