What do you feel about clean art? (Patreon)

This is kind of a ramble so bare with me.

If you're just in it for the porn... I get it. It's my bread and butter. Aint no shame in drawing or enjoying it.

Hard to explore characters/ personalities with it though.

If you're here to support my furry art in general or if you like my characters.., I got a lot more in me than that. Could be something all done up nice like that I can put into a poster or it could just be some character/ world building pieces to help contextualize everything.

Or it could just be some pretty/ rad outfit or how my Renamon character actually fights (she's actually a blink striker). I dunno. If it's something people are willing to see it's something I'd be willing to do.

I may have mistakenly convinced myself that everything must be nude/ porn. If I can just draw characters being themselves that's fine with me too.

If I do some clean stuff her and there I just don't want people feeling betrayed since I went against their expectations so either way, regardless of what side of the discussion you're on, if you have anything you'd like to say I'd love to hear it. Shoot me a pm if you aren't comfortable with other people reading your input but still want to get it to me if you need to. I'm all ears.

Clean art is generally my preferred. I like a story and expression. Adult art is fine but limited.

I had an idea some time ago to draw a tribute pic of Mikhaila and a character of mine just hanging out having drinks on a balcony. I think the idea came about specifically because we (or, well, I) don't really know much if anything about her- and I guess I'd like to, for whatever reason. Like what kinda person is she? Does she like to tell jokes? Does she hate puns? If it's canon that she's a professional sex worker, how does that affect her day to day life? Does she refrain from going out, and just keeps a close circle of friends to avoid the stigma of her career choices? Just random little whatsits. I'd like to see some of that.

I've been a fan of yours for years and years so I'll support you either way. Honestly, I like a mix of both clean and adult art. Characters having personality makes adult artwork featuring them a lot more interesting and hot, in my opinion.

I absolutely want to see more character/personality development from you. As much as I love the lewds, I *was* a little disappointed when the Mik comic turned into a long-winded sex scene. I want to know who these characters are, not just see them smash their genitals together. The porn is fun, but let's see some worldbuilding and plot, for sure! :D Like, my biggest criticism of Scappo's comics, for an example, is that there's implications of a really intriguing setting with magic and space travel and shit... but he only does like 5 pages of plot before going into a ~30 page sex scene. So if you summarize it, he's basically telling his readers about a paragraph's worth of info about his world per year. I love your adult work, but if you want to build up your characters, I will absolutely support that effort.

No! Porn only! >:C Just kidding. :P But, seriously, I think that seeing some clean art, even just on occasion, is a great and pleasant change of pace. Lewd stuff is always nice to see, and there is absolutely no shortage of it. But, because it sells so well, it tends to leave clean stuff behind. I fully support you drawing clean art and exploring/expanding the development of your characters through it. :D

I'm here for the art in general and it would be really great to learn more about your characters and see them doing stuff they like to do for their hobbies or work life for exsample. You have interesting characters and I would love to see them in normal life situations too to see what they normally do and get to know more about them.

I honestly love both. Your art is breathtaking, and im always happy to see your name pop up on my notifications. I see the art is both nudity and porn, and equally so in your normal drawings as well. Keep doing what you are comfortable with. People recognise that or they dont, and dont let anyone discourage you from what you feel you should do. If youd like to do more clean stuff im all for it as well!

I just joined, not really here just for nsfw. Personally I'm not really all that fond of it. I say to do what you heart is telling you, dude. Clean sfw is also fun XD

For me personally it is a mixture of both. I agree with what people suggested above however, if it is world building and character development you are dying to do then mix porn with story since porn is in its nature part of our society (as a reference) but also keeping in mind that sex in a world building / character development ought not to occupy the entire premise of the story you want to tell and also think of the regret you may face if you neglect sex in the story, it will lose a part of its potential "Essence". For example, i always wonder how Mik's parents are? Does she have siblings? How is her college life? Her relationship with a potential boyfriend (if she has one)? Her man crush? Her most traumatic past? etc. All these things i mentioned are just scratching the surface of what could potentially be an idea for the most entertaining and story driven furry work on the internet.

Personally I think the best quality art that comes from artists is when they enjoy the stuff they're making. That can very often be clean things, silly things, cool ideas or scenes they have in their heads, characters in costumes, or characters showing off different aspects of their personality. Pinups and porn are great, but I think everyone would care much more about pinups and porn when the characters in them are well developed, or do things that are unrelated to the pinups and porn. Personally I'd be fine with clean stuff if it's stuff you want to do. Semi-relatedly I also like seeing sketches and doodles and less polished work too.

Your art is great, keep doing it. More of both, pretty please? While I am more interested in porn, it does not tell a story (well, not a long or interesting one). In the end there should always be a story to keep things going - and I think noone pulled it via nsfw only.

Not gonna lie, I mostly got here because you do some great pinups and I loved your older pieces. But I'm also a sucker for lore, so if you're doing character building, I'm all ears (or eyes I guess). I would love to see them in more varied and non-lewd settings - and besides, the porn is much more worthwhile if there's some depth to the characters. Random one-offs don't necessarily have the same appeal.

I'd love to see more clean art personally. I really love having things that define the character outside of just sexuality. You can only see so much of someone with their cloths off (ironically)
