305 - Persona 5 Is Not For Me. (Patreon)

Hello there loyal bros! Time for another Monday post! Ready or not here it comes! ^_^

Mr.Lazare sent me another package. I didn't open it yet. The plan was to do it yesterday and record another epic unpacking video, but so unexpected stuff happened and I had to postpone that. And now it's Monday already and I definitely won't be able to do it today. Well I'll try to do it until next Monday at list. Feel free to look forward to it. I'm sure there is some exciting stuff inside that box.

Persona 5. I will keep this short. I bought the game digitally for my PS4 when it was first released. Played it for about 10 hours but could not get into it. Now I bought it physically for my Switch. Played it for about 20 hours and absolutely disliked pretty much every aspect of it. It's a bloated mess full of high-budget unnecessary stuff. (And the cat comments on EVERYTHING, even me saving the game.) Just to make sure that I am not going crazy I tried loading up Persona 3 Portable again and within minutes I felt like I am part of that world: making decisions, going to school, meeting people. With Persona 5 all I felt was disappointment. I see why so many people would say that Persona 5 is "the best persona evar", but it's definitely not a game for me. I will be taking my cartridge to the used games store. Persona 3 and 4 will always be the best ones for me. 

Agarest War Mariage. Playing this one right now and loving it. About 20 hours in now. As an adult I usually don't have much free time so I have learned to detest grinding and leveling up in games, but in this game (to my surprise) grinding just feels good. This game was originally released on PSP way back when. It's somewhat simple but I enjoy it a lot so far. And I don't have to force myself to keep on playing like I did with Persona 5. -_-

Esmeralda. Also sharing another bachelorette promo poster. This time for Esmeralda. This one was created (yet again) by Bob, free of charge. All I did was provide him with the text and art assets. As usual Bob did an absolutely wonderful job. Check out EXTRA!! post for the full version.

The work. As for the work, I am finishing up the New Years event. Yeah, it took a while but now it carries a proper punch and really makes you feel like a proper milestone in the game's world. Now the event is properly big and complex. I am content. ^_^
