299 - One Of Those Posts. (Patreon)

This will be one of those short, proof-of-life posts. Sorry bros. It was a long day and IRL stuff got me really exhausted. I just downed two cups of coffee to make sure my brain functions at least a little bit while I type this.

The work. I've finished working on the Muscle Men Contest. The plan was to work on Wives Beauty Pageant next but I decided to change the plan. I will be dedicating this week to working on Happy New Year event. This was something I was avoiding to work on for quite some time now. This is supposed to be a memorable event since it will signify the end of the year. At the same time it should be repeatable, with different variations depending on how many (and which) wives you have at that moment, with some sort of ultimate celebration unlocking only with a full harem. To be honest with you I am still not sure how I want to do this... If you have any ideas, suggestions or examples from other games let me know.

In the meantime I started working on some art assets (see pic above), sometimes it's easier to think when my hands are busy drawing. I want to create a drawing of Genie relaxing with all his wives after the New Year's orgy. Despite me not being sure how exactly I will be showing this event, I know that I want to finish it with this picture saying "Marital duty complete" or something. Anyway, this week I hope to do a lot of drawing and planning. Next Monday I will be able to at least show of some new WIPs if nothing else.

Well, that's that. I feel like the coffee is strting to wear off, so I better wrap this up before it's too late. Thank you for your support guys. I will see you next week.

One can imagine that the celebration would be an opportunity for people to get together, share their stories and celebrate the passing of the old year and the beginning of the new. So the scene could be illustrated with a CG showing (rather like the feast at the end of every Asterix comic book) the genie, his X wives, and all the game's secondary protagonists (guards, bazaar vendors, masters of ceremonies. ...) gathered around a large table drinking, eating and even dancing (it would always be the same image, with places left empty until the genie is married to such-and-such a woman or has met such-and-such a protagonist). Then, just before the countdown to the New Year, the genie would choose the woman or women with whom he wished to spend the New Year in private. Again, this would be a unique illustration, with zones left empty depending on the people the genie chose to accompany him.

Hm... To tell you the truth I like the idea with the feast... Having only the girls for the feast is what I am thinking right now, but having extra characters there sounds so wholesome T_T Dammit, the more I think about it, the more I want to do a feast illustration like that. Having more and more people there every year would be so damn cool.
