297 - Embrace Modernity Or Perish. (Patreon)

This is not how I planned to start the Monday Post today, but reality doesn't give a damn about what I want. I logged into my Patreon account and was greeted with a completely new interface. You know that "wonderful" feeling when you return home and notice that somebody threw away all your old fortune replacing it with the new one. Well, that's the feeling I usually get after "updates" like that. 

Several years ago they already did something similar, replacing old interface created by actual web designers who had at least some skills with new minimalistic style. I was complaining then the same way. Little did I know that it was possible to take the things even further. All the borders and buttons are gone now. Writing this post I have to stare at a blank page, no buttons no work area borders. There is no way to create scheduled posts anymore, or if there is I don't see any buttons to make it happen. Also I can't save my text as a draft and return to it later. Everything has been simplified to an extreme. Reminds me of modern architecture, or modern anything really. Movies, games, website interfaces -- everything makes me feel like I am not a part of the target audience anymore. (Whatever, I will always have anime and old games).

As for the new logo. All I can say, it fits this new design ideology perfectly. Other than that I don't want to say anything else. I feel like this is such a low hanging fruit, it would be like making fun of a child with a down syndrome. All I am going to say is we need to enjoy good things while they still last.

To other news. Have nothing to report on personal entertainment front. Didn't watch any movies, haven't started (or beat) any games. But I did receive a care-package from our local hero Mr.Lazare who sent me a crazy amount of stickers free of charge. What am I going to do with them I have no idea. I could try and send out a few as a reward for different subscription tiers, but that would require time an effort and ultimately postpone the release of QT even more. In any case I will be sharing an unboxing video in the EXTRA!! post.

The work. This week was spent on the Harvest Competition event. It will be taking place once a year. It will function like a date event that will allow you to get extra bonding points with the girl of your choosing, and at the same time will play out a bit differently depending on the amount of the gardening experience you have at that point. I will go into some more details in the EXTRA!! post.

The plan for this week is to finish up the Harvest Competition event and move on to the Muscle Men Festival. It will function pretty much the same only the game will be taking into account your overall physical shape instead of the gardening experience.  And it will also play out slightly differently depending on who you will decide to invite to accompany you.
