Hello cherished bros. It's Monday again and you know what that means.

The Work. As, I'm sure, you are well aware of by now, Queen Trainer will feature a weather system, along with 4 distinct seasons. And each season will have it's own weather patterns. For example there will be quite a few rainy days during the autumn, and the winter will feature a weather condition unique only to that season: sandstorms.

The Details. I am doing my best to make sure the weather is not only represented visually but also affects the world and events. To make sure different weather doesn't feel like an unnecessary gimmick, but actually co-exists organically with other in-game systems.

For example. On many occasions the characters will be commenting on the weather conditions (if it makes sense in the context of the story). That is not all though, there are also will be some instances when heavy rain or a sandstorm will lead to slightly different outcomes of some minor events. For example chasing after a criminal during the city guard side jobs will be much harder if it's rains. On the other hand patrolling the city on rainy nights will result in a higher payment.

To sum it up. I am, adding a lot of the details to make sure the world feels more alive. It's minor things, but they take a lot of time. It needs to be done though, because (in my experience) details always add to the emersion.

Also I am adding  new illustrations to some of the, previously, text-only events. Not all of them of course, (there is a lot of stuff goin on in the game), but to the most important once.

The strength. Now let me talk a bit about how the STRENGTH stat will work in the game. Basically you will have 3 STRENGTH levels. Level 01 you will have by default, and levels 02 and 03 will be attainable through vigorous training at the market square.

Just like in real life-- *Khem!* I mean, just like in Princess Trainer, staying in shape is completely optional. You can beat the main story without working out once. But being buff will give you more choices during some of the events or result in extra rewards.

The choices. In some instances the strength check will be taking place under the hood, in other you will be able to clearly see what choice is locked behind what STRENGTH level. Let me say it again: all this is optional. For example, all three options from the picture above will lead to the same result: you protect a girl from a scumbag. But, being buff will give you more control over the situation.

OK, I think this will do for now. Don't forget  to check out the EXTRA!! post, where I will be sharing a video showing the in-game strength system in action.

Thank you for the support. See you next week.

The devil is in the details and the details make up the good whole! Keep it up, Mr Aka-san!

Ace

Sounds very cool, thanks for all the details

Nepurin

When it comes to the little details, please take as much time as you want. Those and easter eggs are something I really value in indie games and they are making a game feel so much better. I like the Str system and the writing is really nice (as always though). Keep up the good work Aka.

If the weather is extra hot, perhaps the girls could wear even less clothes than usual.

DeadMan

Definitely need to build strength, because I want to punch peter just for fun.

Trevor Bond

Man, it's these extra details you put in that are why you are literally the last Patreon I will drop, even if I'm totally broke.

MrLazare

It is this attention to detail, in addition to the quality of the illustrations, dialogue and story that makes the magic happen!!! Maybe the outfits can change slightly depending on the weather? (either other clothes, or the same ones but with a little snow on them for example) Keep up the good work and thanks for the regular updates!

This week's gif is from a very little known game called Queen Trainer by this guy named Akabur, you might have heard about his stuff like Potion Shop, Butler's Bitch, and the smash hit Cinderella: Akabur's Edition.

UNDRESS_ME

Great details! Sounds like a lot of fun. I like it. Adding more details would be a good idea to spice up the world.

NakedAlice

Hello! Everything sounds very great. I like that Queen Trainer will feature a weather system, along with 4 distinct seasons. That should be fun

Nairolf

Nice details but I'll be disappointed if heavy rain doesn't also lead to some clothes being a bit more seethrough.

Chrono Flux

Looks awesome :)

akabur

Yeah, I mean since I already doing this may as well do it properly ^^

akabur

Agreed. Whenever I play a good game and have "hey, they actually took time to put this in" moment, it always elevates the experience for me :)

akabur

Yeah, I did consider different outfits for deferent seasons, that would have absolutely added to the immersion, but I need to stay realistic, the development already is taking a while. I could always add something like that in a Gold Edition though.

akabur

Heh. There will be plenty of extra possibilities depending on how buff you are. It may even make you last longer during some of the educational scenes, who knows.

akabur

Thank you Trevor. I'm happy that you can see how passionate I am about my projects. Don't worry, I am sure there will be plenty of "I can't believe he thought of that" while you play QT. (At least I hope there will be). Thank you for the support.

akabur

I already answered this question few comments above, but to sum it up, I agree that adding seasonal clothes would add a lot to the game, but for the moment I don't plan on spending time on that. (There will be plenty of other details, don't worry :)

akabur

You're funny. Also I just vent through my old unlisted videos on YouTube and one of them had your comment from 7 years ago. And I see that you have been a patron since 2015. Goddamn, man. When I see loyalty like that I just want to work as hard as I can to make sure I don't let you down.

akabur

One of the many corners I had to cut. There maybe an event like that, but it would have to be a story event. Creating a fluid event (solely dependent on the weather) would mean to much extra work.

Joseph

Been around since the beginning, started back on ye old Hentai United before you even had a Patreon.
