How many of you are supporting creators who have a Pay Per Creation model instead of the one I use here? How do you feel that is working out? From what I understand  the creator can choose which creations you will be charged for, so it's not everything he or she posts... I know Calm creates 1 or 2 paintings per month, but of course he also does videos of the painting process so that would be more interesting I suppose. There are many pros and cons with both models, I haven't really given it any thought before so I was just curious as the title says... One major pro for me would be that if for some reason I'm unable to draw as many drawings as I'd like you'd only pay for the ones I actually did create. Not saying I'm  switching models but it would be nice to have that discussion and perhaps figure out which is the best model  for me and you guys. IF I were to ever do any major changes here I would of course let you know well in advance.

I'm off to bed here, so will probably not be any replies from me in about 7-8 hours...

It comes down to what’s best for you and how you think the people want to see you operate content pleases everyone maybe slowin it down tho will allow for consistency and extended content depends on the artist tho

Hard to say if this is better or not! It's the choice of the artist! I personaly prefer your method! One payment each month for the content of the month sounds fair to me! If you ever consider to change to the payment per drawing method i would suggest to reduce the drawings and create more variations maybe people would like that and you can live out more fantasys that people suggest! But i would say with more work for one drawing and more variations the price would also increase! But hey in the end It's all up to you! I will be with you and Support you as long as possible! I love you and your awesome artwork! Thanks for letting us all be part of this!

It’s your choice. I know we have a voice but all in all it’s up to the creator. Don’t stress yourself out and just do what you can. Keep up the awesome work

The only pay per creation things I've ever supported is like Kickstarter type stuff. Which isn't what you're talking about lol. Truth is, many of the characters that you do I have zero interest in, I pay the tier to support you as an artist. If I had a choice as to which images to support, just based on what typically wins in the polls, I would probably support less. However, that type of model may actually work better for you financially, only time will tell if you go down that road. Just giving you my honest opinion as it pertains to me, which is just one person out of your many supporters.

I do, it feels weirder to budget for though

YBG

Absolutely despise that model not gonna lie...

KinkyJimmy

Still very on the fence about doing it and most likely will not go for that model... If you support any creators who has a pay per creation model you can actually set a limit to how much you are willing to pay each month, so that they don't suddenly charge you for 20 creations :P

KinkyJimmy

I gotta consider the business side of things though, so that's why I'm trying to figure out which would be most beneficial for me. For now it all stays the same though... and thanks :)

KinkyJimmy

Thank you for the support. Pretty much impossible to draw characters everybody loves though... That's why I do polls now and then in order to figure out who most patrons like...

SavageBlight

Yeah, but... Who has the mental space to do that? Then you're going to miss out on pictures occasionally. I'm sure it works better for some though

KinkyJimmy

It's more a safety thing for you in case some artist decides to put out 20 creations... If I were to do this I would set a max number of illustrations I would create each month, and never surpass that.

YBG

Couldn’t reply to your question for some reason but I feel when that happens the tier to get all work is out of my price range

KinkyJimmy

"when that happens.." well, i haven't said that it will happen. I run a business, I have to look at what would benefit me the most, and the only way to find that out is to discuss it with my "customers" and supporters. Out of curiosity, what would be your pricerange?

YBG

The most I’ve paid for all the things is 15~
