Game news (Patreon)

Hi everyone. It's been a week since my last post and I feel the need to tell you how I spend last week. Or else I would fall in that dark hole where game developers get sucked into and think its only good to post where there's actual progress.

So, there are two things I focus on now. One is of course the writing of the Intro and the first "episode/location". Both are going well so far. The Intro will be non-playable, straight opening story thingie. Then the first Episode will be playable, where you jump right into the action. The two girls end up in a place in the middle nowhere, a little "village" far far away still from their final destination. There they will have to go through ... "situations" and fulfill various quests in order to progress the story and go to Episode2.

Locations of Episode1 so far:

1. Pub

2. "Police Station"

3. Brothel

4. Strip club

5. Store

6. Hotel

7. Local Gang place? 

8. A******e and p***t.

There may be more to be added but so far the story requires these. Each will have its purpose, quests to offer and character stats to influence, which (stats) in turn will influence the relationship between the 2 girls and also how they respond to different situations. This is as much I can share so far. Think of it kinda like the "Princess Trainer", but of course much much different. The good thing is that as the writing progress the place "locks" and fits together better. 

Now the 2nd important thing is this:

What is this you ask? Well, that's how the game is put together, by "linking" the art to the game code. For this I decompiled some of my favorite RenPy games and delved into how they do things. Because the story and all, is good and fine, but its best to write it in a way that makes sense to the game engine. So this is what I am currently doing.
