Mama P. - Devlog 5: Prototyping! (Patreon)

Hey everybody, hope you are well!

I've finally started actually coding something haha it surprises me that it's been almost a year since I've worked with code, which was for the Ganyu and Sonia updates! I was VERY rust in terms of programming, so it took me a while to actually manage to get into the flow again.

So, looking at the preview it doesn't seems much if compared with those Live2D previews (although now there's a beautiful jiggle when you toggle her tata's size haha), but these are a couple of some of the basic mechanics of the game: 

• Press and Drag: this is one of the vital inputs, as well, you'll be using it for playing with her soft parts 😏
• Tap: on Ganyu and Sonia this input was basically there to piss off our waifus, but for this project I'm planning to take it further and use it to help on the feedback for intractable parts

There are more inputs planned, but these were the ones I managed to code for now. Next up should be Swipe (which is the one I'm currently working) and Press and Hold to be used for some specific object interaction.

I also set a few goals for these prototypes:

• First: Be able to replicate what we did with Sonia, so it includes the basic body interactions, playing animations based on user input and some kind of idle routine
• Second: We move on to what we did Ganyu, so yea, more interaction and of course, putting the pp into the pupu (and on the assass)!
• Third: Here's where we get into uncharted waters, as I'm planning to add some new fancy stuff based on your guys feedback, please look forward!

I also decided to experiment and make a more clean and robust input system if compared with what we'd done for Ganyu, specially in terms of maintenance or updates on the Live2D model, which was a nightmare and I don't want to go through this kind of situation again :(

This phase of the development will be kind slow, specially as programming isn't something I'm used to, so there's a lot of trial and error and many hours of watching tutorials and reading documentations, so I appreciate your patience <3
