Catch-Up, Upcoming Plans, &...wait, is that picture moving...? (Patreon)

It's been a while since my last check-in, so I figured I'd give everyone an update on how things are going for me and what I have lined up for possibilities in the near future. I apologize in advance for the length. It's good to check in with yourself every once in a while.

How are you doing? Feelin' okay? It's okay if you're not, just take it one day at a time.

For once in a while, I'm feeling pretty good. I completed a couple of goals I set for myself with the Advent drawings, and finished my VGen profile, which will(hopefully)make it easier to accept and manage commissions in the future. My artwork is improving and I'm happier with my output overall, though time-management is still a thing I need to work on, but it's getting better.

I think I'll stay here on Patreon to see how it goes. I'm not bothered by having my IRL identity linked to this account and what's on it, so I'll do the verification thing once I can't dodge it any longer.

With me accepting commissions again soon, that means the timing for posts is gonna get crazy again, but(...hopefully)I'll be able to manage it this time. Considering the changes I'm making to my workflow, I should be able to get through pieces much faster than before.

I'll also be re-working the tiers soon, adding a lower-price one for people who just want the final art sets, and leaving everything else behind the $5 tier, I think, along with maybe adding character or project polls, and changing how content is delivered to supporters and kept for storage. I still have to make time to work that out, so I'll have more to say about that soon, but just know it's coming.

*shuffles feet*

Oh, yeah, there's an animation thing up there.

So, I've been messing around with Clip Studio's animation tools for a couple of days, trying to figure things out. It's not very good, but for 5 or so hours of work after years of no practice, I think it looks okay. More importantly, I think it's a solid base to build off of. I've been wanting to get back into animating or doing comics/manga for a while, and I've had fun working on these single illustrations...but I wanna try something new. The fact that I made more progress on this in a single sitting than I usually do over multiple days w/illustrations tells me that maybe I should consider investing time into working on some animation stuff, maybe short, low-effort loops to start with, I dunno.

Regardless of what I choose to work on, I'll still be primarily drawing vtuber lewds for the time being, so no worries there.

It's closing in on a year since I've started my Patreon, and even if I'm not one of the top earners, I'm glad I stuck with it, and I'm thankful to you for helping me do so. It's fun having something like art to escape to during my free time, and while I'd like to make it a full-time thing, I'm more than happy where I am right now. EDIT: I know people came here for illustrations, so switching over to animation, even occasionally, might be jarring to some of you. If you have thoughts one way or the other, let me know below what you think.
