Commission Update + New Commissions going forward! (Patreon)

Thought I’d update everyone on how commissions are going and what I plan  to do for commissions going forward– as I hope the title suggests…

Currently, I am working hard to finish the last batch of commissions;  ones that I am hoping to be done with soon. Most have some sort of  sketch work already started while others are a bit more complicated and  need a little time– but generally I feel I wont be taking too much  longer to finish them– if my current plan works out the way I hope! With  all of that said; I am wanting to open commissions up now that some IRL  work is finally wrapped up! HOWEVER,  I plan on changing how I do commissions going forward– namely on how I  go about doing commissions rather than changing the price or etc (though, there is a slight price change I will talk about later).

As I mentioned above; I still have work to do so I will not be taking on  a new list for commissions going forward, but rather taking on new  commissions one at a time as I can. My plan is to add a new commission  right as I finish another– taking them one at a time rather than a long  list of commissions that IRL work eventually ends up extending their  general duration far past that I had planned. Basically; I have been  taking on too many projects to get anything done in a reasonable time  with everything I already do. This should also keep me more active year  around rather than what I have been like before– and I feel is far  easier to do than a long list of multiple commissions working all at the  same time. Of course, I will be working out some general rules I will  need to add and etc. to this as I go, but in general; starting now I am  officially “open” for commissions– though, the first 2 commissions I will be taking will be YCH ones!

Sometime Monday or Tuesday (03/21 or 03/22) I will be posting two YCH’s that will be part of this new wave of commissions and will be  worked on in April as the start to my new wave of work. Previous  commissions will also be worked on alongside these– my hope is a 1 to 1  of old and new being finished at the same time! And, with YCH ideas  already mostly made in terms of their concept; I can get it done quicker  than something straight up new AND be able to finish one or two of the  other commissions in that time frame. Another thing I want to do is just  solely focus on one piece each week to get completed rather than be as  scatterbrained as I have been… More focus on getting a piece done than  trying to get everything done all at once may be the better strategy.

As for the added cost I briefly mentioned; I will have to start adding  some sort of tax/fee to the commissions going forward– likely a 10% of  the total commission added to the final cost due to Paypal fees (so $100  commissions will final out at like... $110 now at 10%!), tax changes  and etc. that was always pushed onto us but I now have to start applying  going forward. Not ideal I know but it has to be done, otherwise it's  my own ass they come after once I start reporting financials and just  how much they eat out of everything. I was able to stave it away last  and previous years– but this one I likely won't, so I have too now... I  hope you all can understand.

Hopefully this wasn't too much of a read! TLDR version; Still working on  old commissions, plan to get them done alongside more 1 at a time  commission structure going forward! Also, plan to pay a little more due  to fee’s and etc I have been eating for years. Any questions; please ask  below~!
