2nd August - a little gem (Patreon)

Having break from work and found this little painting in the local antique shop.  The colours and light caught my eye.  Turns out it is a by a local painter Isidoro Lázaro Ferré who was born in 1949 an has some paintings in the Sitges art gallery collection. I find the contrast of the red with the green trees interesting and the light on the pedestals rather lovely.    Sadly this wasn't one of those moments where you grab a bargain for 10 euros.  It was 550 Euros so it was a case of window shopping only but still fun to find.  One day I will find a bargain. One of my favourite shows is Fake or Fortune so I live in hope!

I am also slightly taken aback by a comment from Julia on the vlog premiere tonight that the plant in our planter with the berries might be deadly nightshade.  It is a bit dark currently but from a quick google it does look worryingly similar. (Apparently 1 or 2 berries can kills a child so I definitely want to get a plant identifier app and check ....eek!!)
