I have just been leafing through the issue of The World of Interiors that Stephanie Murray sent us and I was struck by this advert (love the ads in design magazines)!

I love the contrast of the subtle greens (including the lovely light green tablecloth) with the dark dusky nearly red pink.

There is definitely something about dusky green backdrops with the odd splash of colour in bolder but still dusky colours.

Bonacina seem to be an Italian brand that does rather wonderful wicker furniture https://www.bonacina1889.it/it/collections/decor

I also got thinking and this might be a terrible idea. But once the dining room is done would it be cool if the flowers on the top of our Gustavian chairs were coloured in some tasteful way to match the dusky colours of the room and make them stand out a bit and go with the floral theme. Might be worth experimenting on one as quite easy to put back if it doesn’t work. I am not sure I have seen chairs painted that way before but if you have please let me know!  Then again it might be a ghastly idea.

On another note we wrote last week for an update on the special chapter as of course it has been over a year now. We will let you know as soon as we hear more.

Personally I wouldn’t paint the chairs though I do understand your idea. Lovely colours.

My sister did that on some chairs for her breakfast nook. They looked lovely!
