A deep colour matching discussion led to lots of discovery about which product would be best. Here you can see that in conclusion, this is going to be a process where I will be combining carefully measured percentages to create colour matches. Reason being that a laboratory produced colour, although accurate in tone, I today discovered, will be a plastic paint so really not suitable for the chalky, textured paint which we have on the walls. This fortunately is a process that I have a great deal of time to explore, so I’m going to dive deep and really enjoy it. I also got a couple of dusty pinks which I fully intend to test against my de Gournay wallpaper in my quest to get that tricky tone exactly right… watch this space!

Good that you are doing this. They have special paints for plaster that are more breathable.

Very true. We also have been filling in holes from plumbing repairs with a really great breathable lime product called Kerakoll, and it's looking so much better!
