17 May - an exciting moment (Patreon)

So it's not the best photo ever but it's an exciting one.  This is the molten bronze creating our lady sculpture!!  

Was it Lady A or Lady B or was it combo of the two?  This question has been a big decision for us listening to everyone;s views.  :)))))

And in the end we did decide.I don't want to spoil the surprise for the vlog - but I did want to let you know that it won't be too long now before the sculpture arrives!

Also a huge thank you for all your lovely comments about the travel vlog. And just to reassure you the regular MMM vlogs continue as normal! 

It is early days for the travel vlog of course but it is off to a good start.  Steph and I are splitting any moneys raised from that vlog so I am hoping that my portion  will help towards the restoration here.  Making money from travel vlogs is challenging due to the costs involved but I hope that if we can get some sponsorship in the future we can make a good go of it.

The specialist restoration work on Can Punxes will be more costly than standard renovation or DIY projects as it will require experts to come in for some of the work like the painted walls and ceilings.  (we plan to do a lot of work ourselves of course but some we may not be allowed to due to the trained restorer skills required). 

It's part and parcel of this being a listed historic monument so definitely no complaints from our side at all - but it will mean we will need to be ingenious in thinking of money raising ideas and to keep positive and trying new ideas out.  We like the challenge though and think this building deserves our best efforts to preserve her and do the best possible job.

I keep thinking about doing things with my art as well or maybe some quality products with the pictures and pattens from Can Punxes so all ideas welcome!!  

The challenge with this project is there are lots of ideas to raise fund but the key is creating the time and being super organised  to make them happen- juggling vlogs and office jobs and spending quality time with the children is quite a challenge I won't lie -  but we will give it our best shot and the main thing will be to keep smiling and not to burn out.  Fingers crossed. 

And it goes without saying that underpinning this, the incredible  support from all of you as Patrons not only financially but equally in words and moral support means the world and keeps us feeling positive with the work ahead!
